Shame about the loathe bane. I can't help but wonder out loud if the Parrying dagger base would be worth crafting, that block chance it gives might be more useful than the implicit 40% crit.

The flat damage on the new base is good, and the base crit is also good, but did you see the attack speed? 1.3 on a dagger is just disgustingly low. If that's what we have to compare with, we might as well all switch to ancient needles. At least that'll benefit more substantially from a perfect flat phys roll.

(note: I still think ambushers are better than either the Sai or Ancient Needle, because of the higher crit than the former and higher aps than the latter)

almost all my investments have gone bad.

Bought Crown of eyes --> Retro nerf next patch.
Bought Acuity --> retro nerf 2 patches later.
Bought Loath Bane --> Retro nerf 2 patches later.

Feels like im just going backwards :D

those items are all still best in slot, do what you bought them to do and are irreplaceable in the build tho. they got nerfed, they needed nerfed, but its not like they became second class to anything else, theyre still far ahead of any other possible item for what you are doing.

I dont think they will nerf them because they already dealt with crit bows by nerfing ondars and the only thing they could actually change on them is the damage or the attack speed, neither of which are the problem or would make them less desirable. If you want to know what GGG thinks about the change they made to the Harbinger and how it impacted the bow game look at the dagger axe, if they felt it was a mistake they wouldnt be repeating it.

you bought a Bugatti with 1000 horse-power that reaches 200 MPH.
now the model is obsolete, and the engine got a bit weaker over time, so it's only 950 HP and 185 MPH.

so you buy a new one.

I know I'll never be able to get my hands on a Bugatti, so I'll stick with my good old Toyota.

Regarding the harbinger question, I think a dps nerf is a possibility and would slightly temper the usefulness of those bows without ruining anyone's builds. Perhaps it can be paired with a dps increase for thickets or alternatives (full disclosure: I use a mirrored thicket [probably mirrored way way back when that would have been worth it] and would benefit from a dps boost XD).

But regarding the main topic, it seems that loath bane and other mirrored stuff that might receive a nerf will STILL be fantastic, they'll just go down in price to 150ex or so. And new mirrored BiS stuff worth 250ex will replace them. This change won't be a huge deal to anyone - rich folks can buy the new BiS stuff eventually, those with loath bane will still kick ass, up-and-coming players will have a slightly better shot at affording a mirrored weapon, and the poor are still completely shut out. Win-win.

there is nothing better though, its still the highest dps dagger base in the game, I dont see any reason why it would change price or be replaced by anything, theres nothing that can replace it.

According to me (and a lot of people that play standard with me) ladder leagues is way more boring as fuck, cause start from scratch each season is frustrating (as fuck).
But it's my opinion.

99% of the game in standard is the same as in temp leagues.
If standard is boring then all of PoE is boring.
