most basic advice from someone who often likes to play solo/self-found and racing:
- recipes, use them. makes it way easier nowadays - masters, try to level them, makes capping resists and having decent weapons easier - dont waste currency for leveling, unless it is really necessary, dont use it just for comfort - level up in safe zones and progress while overleveled (obv earlier if you feel confident), there is no need to rush, often you will still get more experience farming docks or sins a bit longer (especially sins, best zone ever) - check vendors from cruel act 3 onwards for 5L+ - prob other things i forgot also weapon build is not really that much harder with recipes and masters nowadays, dont feel pressured in going caster. some extra: pick up superior flasks of any kind to get baubles Last edited by Shaoxy#3279 on Apr 23, 2015, 1:27:39 PM

You will also be testing a legacy skill, imagine that.
/doomsdayclubsaysflametotemRekt Get a build that has high efficiency low demand cost. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

Game is so dull right now I'll probably do this.
Scion elemental life KB. Scion because.. ~She has a bad start ~She will be very gear stat dependant ~She doesn't get a few of the required gems ~Many of the gems she does get are late Ele life KB because.. ~It needs a 6 link Belly ~It needs a Piscator's ~It needs Mali's ~It needs a 4 off Alphas ~lvl 21 20Q gems are huge ~lvl 4 Empower is godly ~It's shit until high level Fuck efficiency Fuck competition Fuck easy Casually casual.

The biggest hurdle is of course merciless res but also keep around gear to max res, life, and dps for the cruel dom fight.
Take res passives and respec them when your gear is good enough not to need them in maps. A res passive that lets you wear a piece of high life gear with no res can often give you more life than a life passive + gear with res but low life. Pick up and id all blue jewelry, at least before maps. It is an efficient source of alts and a good life + res blue is often better than all the rares you've found up to that point. If you have the stash space pick up and save white 4Ls. Fuses take a while to accumulate especially before 6Ss drop but alcs are pretty steady since you'll get shards from vendoring rares. And sometimes you just don't find a rare worth 4Ling. Run 66 maps (rather than grinding a regular part of the game and cubing your maps up) to maximize your chances to meet Zana. ---oops I forgot it is only 5 days. Maybe not so important since you'll only get a few dailies from her. When I kill a man he stays dead. Last edited by mucker#5845 on Apr 23, 2015, 1:54:53 PM

" I only solo my maps, and I have no problem sustaining a lvl76-77 pool, sometimes run out of 78s. Maybe RNGesus of maps shines upon me, but I've not had any issues since they upped map drops many patches ago. |

" lolled. Thought arguably he just said he has no problem sustaining maps playing them solo, no reference to trading or not. In the context of this thread though. Bumped with procurement! Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" First off, have faith in RNGesus. Second, ID Rares before you sell them. If you run out of Scrolls of Wisdom, sell 2 (no more) Transmutes/Alts for 8 Wis. I've found that 8 is generally enough momentum to always have Wis, just from drops. You may have to buy another 8 after a boss fight with good drops, but it's not like that is a bad thing. The reason you ID every rare before you sell it is that you get Alt shards (and Alch shards), and being self found means your flasks are VITAL. You only need to Transmute a flask once, but you might have to Alt it a dozen times or more to get the mood you want. For flasks, don't waste everything because you're always upgrading them, until endgame anyway. What you need though, is a Heating and a Staunching (freeze and bleed removal). I tend to aim for either of these on my Quicksilver, because it's not necessary to upgrade that basically ever. In the very beginning of the race you may want to pick up and sell everything you find for a base Wis/Transmute pool, but by the time you reach Brutus you can rely on Rares and drops for Wis. Keep an eye out for Chromatics, more than usual. Dual res rings are great, cap your res before you enter the next difficulty. Res on the tree can be specced into early and out of one your gear supports you, or you can stay specced into it and grab life/damage on gear. If you're HC, go SLOW. If not, whatever pace suits you. Other than all that, just have fun and again, praise RNGesus when he rewards you. *You call into the void. You hear a sound in the distance.*
