Kripp probably introduced more to poe than anyone else. I don't think he's really with poe anymore, but you ought to at least show proper respect.. So many hating on here these days it is crazy, and nearly all of them hating because they can't fathom not everyone should be in beta and that random is the most fair way. Deal with it dudes, or prepare to get heavier wrecked by life.

It amuses me how people fail to realise what the actual point of a BETA is.

BETA is not an 'early release' of the finished product. Beta is a BETA for people to test, see how it runs, GGG to identify flaws, bugs, pointless grinds, disjointed gameplay, confusing lore/mechanics - and fix as such.

Who is going to be better at identifying these.
a) a brand new player, with no ingame knowledge who is going to play through properly
b) a veteran who is going to rush through content for his own amusement at being in A4.

If A4 was all that was new, id suggest it was a closer battle (but still the newbie wins). But this isn't just A4, the complete game has had an overhaul.

This is something I come across heavily when I code game engines and logic for people. Each iteration of my engine, I introduce a brand new tester to test - as he hasnt seen it before and doesn't know what to expect. I still include previous testers - but the results from fresh new eyes is invaluable.

Streamers are different again - they bring publicity to the game to the unwashed masses. I simply don't get how you can argue with this.


tl:dr - the game needs new people to join and test. Streamers bring these new people in. Stop being salty because you haven't had an invite yet.
