Compilation of Minion related shit in Awakening =)

So I was going to compile minion related material in the beta for my own theory-crafting benefit but I felt like I should share this information to other summoners out there as well.
***All values seen will probably be subject to change in these coming weeks so by the time awakening hits the live servers all these numbers may be different I can probably turn this into some kind of giant summoner compilation of info in the future. -> My Current Summoner Builds(Still updating but has a rough outline): Useful Links " Potential Balance Changes " Gems - Active

Rallying Cry - Link ![]() Thoughts: Probably not going to replace flesh offering as that skill is more of a consistent damage boost but this does seem like a worthy enough to warrant a slot you have have one. Not much else to say but a straight up damage boost to your minions and granting yourself some mana regen. As the numbers are now at level 20 with maybe 20ish mobs that u can land this skill on you can gain about a 50% damage boost. For all your minions and teammates. Honestly not a bad skill as you move from pack to pack. Base duration is 6s which is kinda sweet once tack on some duration stats Abyssmal Cry - Link ![]() Thoughts: This is interesting. I wonder if you could grab chaos damage stat and boost the damage since your casting the skill. If you combine this with the Grasp you can deal 28% of the mobs life as an AOE explosion. That is pretty good. The slow utility is also helpful. This is one of those skills where it needs testing before you can tell if its good. Summon Chaos Golem - Link ![]() Thoughts: Buff wise it seems like the only Gems - Support

Fortify - Link ![]() Fortify buff grants 25% damage reduction from all sources. Thoughts: This could be huge for melee minion survivability when it comes to bosses. A flat 25% reduction that works on anything physical , elemental, degen. Could really give our zombies a boost when facing high damage aoe elemental damage bosses. Keeping this gem in your inv may be a good idea to switch to before a hard boss fight. Unique's

The Whispering Ice - Link ![]() Thoughts: A spell that can compliment minions nicely. As far as I know it leaves a chill ground that slows enemies by 30% which can stack with temporal chains resulting in a very nice utility. Staff also functions as a double 6L so you can 6L your Icestorm skill with a spell based spectre. It also scales with Int and summoner builds generally have a lot of travel nodes invested in int. Sire of Shards - Link ![]() Thoughts: This staff alone creates a lot more variety when it comes to spectre choices. It will be a 7L that grants projectile based spectre/or golems the ability to deal AOE around them. Definitely a lot of potential here when combined with some kind of movement skill + convocation in to a pack. Jewels

I think in most situations your skeles are gonna die,timeout before you reach your maximum count. Could be an interesting support build to literally flood the place with minions. So wtf does that mean? It means your minions will be able to stack -50% of an element for you. Very good for elemental builds that grabbed a golem for support. ![]() Good for party support oriented builds. You can share charges to your party members generated by minions. not 100% sure if this means charges for minions but I doubt it. ![]() Good amount of regen 2.2% for your minions. Probably a bad investment for 4 pts. ![]() Berzerking for your minions. Vaal Pact for your minions. Negates regen stat completely but you might be able to tank bosses now with life leach and enough max life to survive 2-3 or so hits. Leap ![]() ![]() Huge investment but you might be able to take spell dodge without taking Acrobatics ![]() If you think the 3 pt investment is worth you can gain Infused Shield. Thanks for starting this topic, good place to gather all information.
Once I saw jewel socket above Acrobatics + Phase Acrobatics my first think was to place Selfless Leadership jewel there. That, plus Fortify will be huge defense boost to our minions. Most likely we get few more skill points from Act 4 so it will be good investment, I think. Has it been confirmed anywhere that minions will grant golem's buffs? |

As soon as I hit 80 (today, maybe) I am switching to beta to test some summoner stuff out (note: don't expect any great, in-depth testing from me though. I still have just a sliver of free time to devote to playing. I mean, just look at how long it took me to get this close to 80 in the one-month :P)

Really hard to tell how effective these are because he ran them on ledge =/.
But from what he described they do have plenty of good skill tags. Probably gonna treat it like a firetrap + fireball fusion but its an attack??? o.o RS + FirePen + gmp/lmp + Iaoe + conc + burning damage/faster atk Am actually more interested in that Tornado shot archer, golems in mines2, and whatever was doing ground slam in kaom's zone. Also the evangelist zone would still be level 67 so they would be just as effective.
