[Theory Craft] New Unique - Sire of Shards Serpentine Staff

What kind of cool gem setups can you guys think about when looking at what this staff does?

For me:

I think Spork could maybe make a comeback
High block % incinerate build, in your enemies face, unloading a 'nova-stream' of incinerate
Flame totem? How will this staff (if at all) interact with flame totem?
Lightning trap (probably still crap tho)
I think maybe vaal spark + this staff would be pretty funny.
Would this work on spectres? (It does say 'socketed gems', so maybe not)

Hmm...well trapper and dual totem should be able to do that, they dont actualy attack with weapons.....that would be cool to have in game

What's broken about this item, IMO, is the additional projectiles w/o a damage penalty.

Spork could get pretty silly as we'll be firing 7 projectiles instead of 3.

That said, I would recommend playing pierce spark w/ high projectile speed over spark with current items, though this item may indeed bring spork back.

Also, flame totems, as said, could be pretty funny. It would be a be a wheel of flame.

Again, the biggest advantage of this item, IMO, is additional projectiles w/o a penalty.

Also, if that is the real flavor text, that would be funny.
If/when I get into the beta I may try to break this item :)

Vaal Spark + GMP + Spell Echo = 2700 Sparks = client crash xD

Sire of Shards creator here. Yes, that is the real flavour text. I thought of it in 5 minutes on the way to work as the result of a very late change in flavour. I didn't even think of the implications, I swear! XD

That said, I apologise if it does turn out to be overpowered, mostly because that will make it too expensive for most people to get their hands on.

I'm thinking of Fireball/Ab + Trap.
Insane single target deeps!
(maybe decent clearspeed if you support those with fork, who knows?)

I honestly think the spread of the projectiles will balance out what a lot of people think will be OP about it.
The unique has a really cool design IMO (props), and I'm looking forwards to trying it.

That trap suggestion may be insane depending on how well the shotgun works though.
