Buying Exalted Orbs For Chaos In 1.4
" The only thing exalts are good for (now) is to pay Elreon for multimod. This feature is available to 'mid-class' players too, not only trading moguls. Eternals in combination with mirrors are an design abomination. Mirrors should be removed and eternals made more common than exalts, with the caveat that once you use an eternal on an item, it becomes account bound. This would give more power to a broader audience of players. --- if vendors would sell exalt, it would be more like 200c a pop, GGG trololoo... " What do you mean? This is an ARPG, people play mostly to increase their character power. Using an Exalted on an awesome item can get you a nice upgrade. I crafted the hybrid armor roll on this with an Exalted last league. Was cheaper than trading for an upgrade most likely. And if you're playing self-found, I don't even understand the question. Maybe a Mirror would be useless for you, but I doubt even that. | |
I dropped this in Poorjoy's Asylum yesterday, Zed.
Master-Crafted the AR. got some RNG-power 6-socketing it, and semi RNG-power 4/2-linking it. when I said "you can't eat Dollars" - this is what I meant as "food": a crazy map with "monster deal 9001% extra damage and kill you faster than you can scream in pain", dropping you something you can actually use. Exalt? I don't remember when was the last time I saw one drop, to be honest. and I never used one. on anything. because god knows when I'd get another one of them. Mirror? can't eat a mirror, man. mouth full of painful glass shards. as for the above Astral... luck. I didn't EARN it. fucking RNG. I was equally likely to come out of that map empty-handed, or with a Shavs, two Mjolners, and a Windripper. because fucking RNG. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

John if you weren't so horrible at the game you would see exalts fairly frequently. I have gotten 2 divines and 2 exalts in the last week alone. Stop derping around on alts and start playing efficiently in maps and maybe you wouldn't have such skewed views about certain aspects of this game.

Exalts will cost whatever AXN decides to set the market value at.

" Doing maps got nothing to do with finding ex. YOu got good rng, he and i and lots of others do not. I havent seen an ex drop in over a year. The only 3 i got were from a trivia in global chat. When trivias in the chat are better than the drops from playing the game, its quite sad. |

high kill speed in maps will give you more chances of dropping an exalt. While rng is rng, helping it work in your favour is always good.
Leveling through the acts has a lot worse pack sizes and kill speeds so is less likely to find more/better currency drops. LLD BOTW spark/arc caster guide http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1133731

" Ex can drop anywhere though, how does that have to do with maps? Technically you could faceroll normal ledge all day every day and the chances for ex are as good as in any map. |

" It does, through increased map quantity which increases the drops of orbs too. That's the direct influnce. The indirect influence of playing maps, is that playing at higher difficulty makes you a better player and requires better gear, which translates into faster clearing speed (on average). More dead mob, faster = more exalts. I looted cca 55 exalts in ~2.4k hours since CB When night falls
