Buying Exalted Orbs For Chaos In 1.4

What is everyone's opinion on the potential for a vendor selling ex? I think it would stop deflation of chaos by offering an additional sink and stop the inflation of ex which has been the trend since release.
40:1 to 50:1 would be a nice sweet spot. Keep PoE2 Difficult.

i expect there will be a new vendor selling at least one new orb. as much as ex for chaos would help some issues with the economy, i'm guessing it'll likely be regal/bless/chaos.

Dont worry, the pro traders will do some price fixing. Of course Cough*rmt*cough will still influence prices via conversion rate sites.

what are Exalted Orbs good for? seriously. Eternals? and Mirrors?
Blessed and Divine I can somewhat understand. especially if a Unique I have got buffed, so I can re-roll it if I have such a super-ungodly-rare orb in my Inventory. and lower orbs are used constantly, and have Vendor Recipes. I don't want Vendors selling me Dollars in Act 4. I want the game giving me stuff proportional to how well I play, and what challenges I take on and beat. stuff I can actually use. ... yeah the chances of that happening... right down there with me ever seeing a Mirror drop. and even if I do, I'd have absolutely no idea what to do with it. such Carrots in this game. much wow. something Monopoly Players and GGG balancing around them, will never understand, is you can't eat a thousand-dollar bill. " Thats the worst part, you never expect a mirror to drop yet if one would, you have no idea what to do with it. Convert it into other orbs? Buy an item? Let it rot in the stash? Use it? Its too rare to be of use really, and only certain people get to use them effectively. Mirrors should be removed or reworked and drop more frequently. Either GGG wants us to sue them or they love to see the pro traders spam mirrors on gg OP rares and uniques while the rest of the player base can only look in envy. The build diversity gets people to play, and the drop rates among other things, drives people away. |
