Nurfs frighten people from spreading there build.

I will say nerfs have stopped me from trying out any new and cheap build that pops up. I dont have much in the way of currency. Dropping an exalt on some gear is a big purchase for me. Last thing I want is to buy into a new build and next patch comes along with -80% nerf.

what´s wrong with buffing things instead of nerfing btw?
nerfs only cause players to leave overtime especially , if it´s as frequent as GGG lately handling "things".

I've only been playing for 2 months, maybe I missed a few dozen nerfs you could point out to me. Since you and a dozen others are claiming nerfs in PoE are frequent and build destroying.
Just curious since I have not seen that at all.

He just doesnt get it that nerfs happen to builds that are broken. People should play with the "nerfed" builds, i mean how hard is it to understand that after a nerf a build is how GGG wants us to play it? Do people think GGG nerfs builds so we switch to other OP ones so they can nerf those as well?

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

The only thing about "nerfs" that I have trouble with is that they are a means to an end that never gets here. I have never played a mmo where they were not constantly asked for and implemented for the entire duration of the game.

I assume these types of games are much to complicated for this to become reality, but just once, I would like to see a studio release a game that was at least close to balanced.

Thats an impossibility in itself. Nothing can be balanced until released to a broader audience. Then everyone jumps on it and it gets nerfed. Then everyone cries about nerfs until new gems come out and the cycle begins again. I dont even bother with only going for new gems, i stick to the good old gems, i know those rather get buffed anyways because no one uses them.

Highly disagree, take the recent approach of the most popular ARPG, D3 as example. While they still do change skills the result is more often than not even stronger than before. However this requires a modern an smart design philosophie.

D3 has a clever way to solve these sorts of problems, POE hasn't.

Examples?
Created a stupid OP unqiues in the past:
GGG: well i guess we fucked up, won't change anything because ECONOMY
D3: so what, we will fix the problem by making even better items. Problem solved
Created a stupid OP build:
GGG: well we need to nerf, because balance.
D3: Fuck artificially balance (stuff like monster hp/damage, difficulty), make it dynamic. No need to nerf anything again ever. Enjoy your game.

See, clever use of game mechanics, as shown recently by D3 solves most problems.

If you trust blizzards nerf system, youre going to be sorely disappointed in the real world of gaming. Blizzard will leave their favorite build untouched for 10+ years while nerfing anything that comes close to it. They did it for years in WoW and Diablo 2.

They left hammerdins doing 5-6 TIMES the amount of damage that anyone else could put out. Every single ladder reset, hammerdin was first to max level. When my necromancer build got close to 20k, hammerdins were topping off at 120k, they nerfed the necromancer. Blizzard doesnt know balance.
