I am ranked #87 In the world. But how are Standard League Ladder Ranked?
Hey guys,
Just had a question. As I was making my way up to level 100, I was checking the ladder. Apparently there is only 130 level 100's in the game. I hit level 100 a few months ago, and I am now ranked #87 in the world. Feel bad for those who hit 100 before me, cause I jumped over them, But dam! I'M RANKED 87 IN THE WORLD:) Some reasons for this could be: -This is my only character, on or off the ladder. Maybe same accounts with more then 1 level 100 are weighted differently. -This character is about 2 years old. Wasn't until last year that I decided to pick it up again to treck to level 100. Maybe my character AGE is older then those ranked 88-130? So it might be in age order? -I see everyone has the same XP, the required XP for level 100. But maybe it is ranked on the OVER XP? Like maybe I killed a boss to hit level 100. I only needed 50 more xp, but the boss gave me 500. So maybe without showing it, i really am 450 xp OVER lvl 100. But at level 100, you don't gain any more xp. Standard League Lokailith - Level 100 Max Block Static Strike Marauder. Gratz on the level, and no idea.

I believe they're sorted by some kind of unique id/hash of character data.
Effectively, characters of equal experience are unsorted (definitely not time based in any regard: neither character creation date, minimum time /played, earliest L100 first, none of that). What I wish GGG'd do is just let the experience counter keep rolling up, even if there's never a L101+. It would be nice to have a little pseudo-competition among the hundreders, if only for e-peen purposes. Last edited by pneuma#0134 on Feb 9, 2015, 2:42:50 PM

In Diablo2 Ladder-Seasons the last one who hits maxlevel was/is listed first in the Ladder,
so the "old" ones go down. I think it works similar here. "better to simply go balls deep full retard if you gonna go retard." -Boem-

" Motivating the most hardcore of their player base to keep playing is "encouraging bad behavior"? Huh? The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard
The 82nd character to hit Delve 1000 in Standard |

" I like idea of having the XP counter keep rolling. At least so when they raise the level cap, we could almost be level 101. :) I remember doing that in World of Warcraft. When Burning Crusade was coming out, all the level 60's grabbed all the quests they could, completed them, but waited to hand it in until the expansion. To get free xp. Standard League

" Those "most hardcore" players are already playing in temporary leagues. Encouraging to keep competing in permanent leagues beyond reaching lv100 is not something GGG should do. This message was delivered by GGG defence force. Last edited by mazul#2568 on Feb 9, 2015, 3:26:14 PM

" Why not? If they don't want to, they don't do it. Derision, -Szyderca- If you ask a stupid question, expect stupid answers.

There already is such competition beyond 100 anyways - how MANY level 100s do you have? Several people have three now, not sure if anybody has 4 or more yet. +1 Shavs Project -----> /1075009
