peachii your post has stuck in my head since i read it, which is testament to it's underlying message (that we all owe GGG a huge debt of gratitude) but mainly its clear statement of fact (that there are hateful people within this community that take any opportunity to spread their venom.)

in my opinion a mute is far too lenient in many of these cases, however I can see it being important as a warning that certain behavior will not be tolerated. I'd imagine these warnings are often ignored and the next opportunity that presents itself will be met with the same racist, derogatory, homophobic, xenophobic, and hateful responses as before.

which is really rather sad.

if you ask me I think there should be zero tolerance for the type of vindictive and outright disgusting behavior shown by some members of this 'community', toward both players, mods and devs alike.

this is GGG's game.

that's it in a nutshell, and I for one would support anything they can do to provide the mods such as yourself with the power to enforce a strict set of community/social guidelines that they, as community members themselves, would want to be held to.

to that end I see your appointment as Moderator being recognition of the positive things you do for this PoE family, and it's great to see that. I hope the positive aspects far outweigh the negative ones in time.

I have screenshots, of said occurrence. Yes the game is great, yes they are volunteers, but some times their actions and choices of moderation are very poor.

That was an acknowledged mistake and we rectified it VERY quickly, skyforger. There were apologies offered by both myself and the other moderator involved and all evidence of the error have been edited/fixed...still you cling to it.

Charan, you go into threads that have been closed by other moderators and yet post.
Some times again insulting things. To keep posting in threads that are done and locked when others cannot, again is poor use of moderator abilities.

I was asked. And if GGG is dissatisfied with my performance, they can certainly remove me.

You tenacity and obstinacy in using public threads to push your single-minded agenda is bordering on abuse. Feel free to PM myself or another mod if you wish to continue this conversation. Elsewise, I consider this tangent closed and will treat any other such attempts as subversive and act accordingly.

Getting the thread back on-topic, I've never actually posted a thank-you GGG thread. I think that every post we make does that implicitly. The fact that we're still here, still supporting, still showing the love. Still doing what we can in our own ways, and everyone can do something. The community is a collective. No one person is responsible for it, but at the same time everyone is.
