Does the CritMultiplier from either Abyssus or the Disemboweling node work with SpectralThrow?

Well if there gonna break builds they should wait for a full patch/respec to do it in my opinion.

1.3.0 didn't count as a full patch? O_o
Well its worked the entire patch so far, I also think abyssus said with one handed melee weapons till recently (but i could be wrong about that). Also the builds dont seem hugely op without legacy gear. Its up to ggg what they do but seems a bit broken to leave it working for that long.
There's a lot of misconceptions ITT.

Abyssus and Disembowelling used to both be worded 'melee weapons' and both worked for Spectral.

In 1.3 they were both reworded to 'melee', no weapons.

It was generally expected that both now only worked for melee attacks not ranged attacks with a melee weapon. There was indeed a lot of QQ on reddit about both changes.

However, both still work as they always did for Spectral Throw.

Yes, they both do.

The wording change is strange, to say the least.

The only thing I can think of is that it was to include Facebreakers and the only actual mechanical change was to cover Facebreakers (if it didn't before). It remains, though, that the wording is now bad vs how they work.

Confirmation that Disembowling is bugged.

Abyssus had a wording change in 1.3 and no longer works with Spectral Throw. I'll go fix the Wiki now.

Sorry OP, I'm guessing you're probably even more confused now. Tricky wording + bugs + recent changes make for some fun times.

Ahh, a dev confirmation, nice.
However, the 'bug/error' that is in effect with Disembowelling is also in effect with Abyssus (if indeed they are going to respect the wording). Slap on an Abyssus and look at Spectral Crit Multiplier.

Spectral Throw Without Abyssus

Spectral Throw With Abyssus
Casually casual.

^ Yeah, I see that now.

I don't have an Abyssus on my account, so I had to check the wiki, which still said "with melee weapons."

OFf Topic: The only thing I'm disappointed about ST-wise, is that means I have to find a new skill to use with Goddess Scorned >.> ST+KB+Crits worked nicely, the KB especially considering how glassy the build tends to be. I suppose Reave would work just as nicely though ^-^
Devolving Wilds
Land
“T, Sacrifice Devolving Wilds: Search your library for a basic land card and reveal it. Then shuffle your library.”
Abyssus is now fixed in 1.3.1 and no longer increases the crit multiplier for spectral throw.

I'd imagine the same 1.3.1 fix applied to Disembowelling.
Casually casual.

Disembowelling nodes DOES increase my critchance, i have used some respec orbs and tried.

But this was before latest patch.
If not working it must be a change in most recent patch ie. yesterday.

Sorry guys, I have just realized that my missing tooltip dps, about 2.5k, who suddenly went missing after yesterdays patch is possible, even most likely a effect of GGG changing the Disembowelling nodes.

I have NOT confirmed this yet but it is very likely so and i check when i come home.
As i dint change ANYTHING on my crit dagger spectral thrower and tooltip damage got lowered by this amount that just fits, i probably have found the cause.

Now it would really have been nice of GGG if they included ALL changes in the patchnotes.
I know the have been talk about nerfing Disembowelling nodes but, plz include all changes in patchnotes so we don't have to spend hours on detective work why damage is changed.
If they don't want include all changes in the patchnotes (maybe a lot?) plz include a link to somewhere where ALL changes are specified.

That would be very good and save us/me a lot of trouble.
Disembowelling crit cluster nerf with spectral throw 1.3.1. CONFIRMED....

Didnt change a thing on my crit dagger ST char, lost tooltip DPS after patch.
Respeccing/take away these nodes didnt change my DPS at all so they DONT work anymore after 1.3.1 with ST as they did before patch.

Too bad, i needed better dps.
Well, now i have 5 more passive points to apply to make up for it if possible.
Only thing im dissapointed about is why they didnt tell in patch notes, now i spent long time figuring out why i lost DPS.

WANTED:
COMPLETE patch notes with ALL changes included.

It's not a nerf, it's a bug fix, according to devs it was never supposed to work with projectiles.

Small fixes like that rarely make it into patch notes, like the time minor nodes in serpent stance cluster gave 'crit with staves' instead of 'crit while holding a staff', that wasn't in patch notes either and it was fixed in v1.0, I think.

Not mentioning stuff like that isn't really that big of a deal, especially if it looks like a bug, it's kinda your fault you relied on a bug to make your build work. However, back when they stealth nerfed windripper to have random elemental damage rolls it was pretty serious, a few people divined their bows to find the rolls suddenly lower.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Well, i dont really agree.

I am aware thay have discussed and even said to nerf it in previous patch.
One cant go through all patchnotes when trying everything out, one simply try assign points and see the results.
Then when some things suddenly changes without an (easy) logical explenation at least i get somewhat confused.
The natural thing is to look in the patchnotes when something has changed after a patch uppdate.

If the dont want to include ALL changes in the patchnotes (due to amount of text, very minor changes...) it would be very nice if they posted a link to a complete list of ALL changes, down to almost every pixelchanage.

I would really like such a list of changes.

In the case of Disembowelling node cluster you might very well be correct it is a bug fix, but it still is something who can have pretty large effect so a notice that this has been adressed would have been nice.
