" This. There is nothing new going on here. TONS of games have these kinds of software running in the background. I seriously doubt this means GGG is opening files and pulling information that is going to be used against you, unless your cheating. If you have files you do not want accessed, try putting them on different drives or simply encrypt the data. Common examples of these types of programs (which have been used for many many years) Warden (Blizzard) Diablo 2 banwave anyone? Yeah, that was Warden. PunkBuster (multiple users) BattleEye (Arma/Bohemia Interactive) Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC Security) What would concern me more would be the chance of getting banned due to a false-positive. These programs are by no means perfect. |
