Mobs that are ridiculous
I was curious as to what people felt were too easy or strong.
I find that devourers are idiotic. Kole/Brutus (especially in Dungeon map) are equally stupid. Other mobs are so slow that they pose virtually no threat at all, such as slow zombies. Not all mobs are remotely close in being a career ender. Walking into a pack of leap slammers is a show stopper! It would be nice if the R&D would quit having the 1 hit killers like devourers in the game. I'm not sure if they're broken or intended to just pluck xp off your characters for no real reason. Hopefully I don't sound like I'm complaining. I would like to see a more closely equal damage/risk for mobs. D2 had broken (as they admitted) archers that would just rape you in a group. And some broken vipers in the Nihlathak area, but you could technically avoid them, til the archers became so-called "guest" in areas... |

" I recall playing Claw Molten Strike build once. It is not humanly possible to catch these with Whirling Blades. I was just skipping them, lol. Devourers are flat out stupid BS, everyone knows that. A lot of people are scared of Puppies and Titty Bitches, personally I have issues with Leapfrogs and Bombers. Oh and hf vs Evangelists with full eva build :D |

yah them evangelists hit pretty hard
never had a problem with devourers tho |

I really HATE all mobs with high physical damage

So I was doing this zana map with double fleet (=60% speed mods), when suddenly a bunch of otherworldly powerful crit devourers spawned on top of me. Don't even ask how I survived that, because I honestly don't even know, lol! But yeah, devourers are pretty much the most ridiculuous BS in all of wraeclast.

Problem with POE's damage is inconsistency
Play diablo 2 for a week Play diablo 3 for a week (current d3, not when it was released XD) Play grim dawn Play POE for a week You will realise dawn d2 and d3 mobs damage is consistent on a per area and per level basis. In poe, you can be in a map and take zero damage from 99% of the mobs, and then encounter a rare that hits you for 6k and you're dead. It's stupid. And you can have bosses in 66 maps that hit like a truck and then meet a 72 boss that doesn't even tickle. No arpg has this feel of inconsistency in mob dmg. The problem is also the spikes in POE are really spiky, they are huge, its like the devs threw a dice with massive numbers on every side and whichever one landed was chosen in that instance. And physical spikes especially ... with the way armor works (or doesn't), they feel so cheap. I suppose an exile flameblast hitting for 20k is ok since we can reach 100% res technically, but 4k++ hits, or that shit in alluring abyss, made up of pure physical damage - is dumb. Improve armor formula or rework it. Come on GGG, how many people have to ask this favour? Do we need a petition or something? Oh I forgot, official forums dont count anyways - reddit is respected more. Last edited by ancalagon3000#6581 on Jan 9, 2015, 9:26:55 AM

Only problem i have is that the croaking chimeras can SHOTGUN with multiple projectiles mod.
So yeah, they leap to you and shotgun you inflicting 3x the damage, god forbid there is an aura nearby or a map mod for damage = rip. Gulls are annoying for melee, joke for ranged. Most monsters in the game are a joke, if my build doesn't kill monsters in 2 seconds it is usually a sign of a weaker build. Basically most monsters are made of paper but sometimes can 1 shot you, would rather have monsters with rescaled damage and a log higher health. Spike damage is a pain. GGG started out treating it in a decent manner: high damage = slow mobs and vice versa. But now we have devourers and leapers that are fast/hidden mobs that usually have the highest mob damage as well. In HC this means i have to make every build able to face tank (at least for a second) ridiculous mobs that I encounter very rarely. So 99.99% of the time i am steam rolling and every once in awhile I just get one shot pretty much. I would rather have a little more damage parody. Boost white mobs and tone down the spike. If I am out of my depth in a map I should be able to tell off any pack more or less. My second to last death was a one shot in a 68 map with a char that could steamroll 78 maps. My last death was bloodlines lightning wave totem which is my own fault ;)
