Tornado Shot is a joke right?

Even if TS is good, split arrow + chain still clears maps faster. I have leveled two rangers back to back until Bloodlines, and split arrow is just much nicer imo. The only advantage is that Tornado can be used for single target as well, but thats why you have two 5L as a ranger, one for aoe, one for an even better single target skill.

Frost arrow + GMP even clears it faster the entire point of TS is it's capabilities of shotgunning for viable single target DPS.

If a skill is OP: Fuck yeah, use it and be happy. If it sucks, ignore it. Don't see the problem. Crying for nerfs only shows the desire to screw over other people's fun, IMO. (Assuming PvE of course)

What I got from this thread is that EK could use a buff.

what i got is most non nado shot things need a buff. makes sense nado shot has no draw backs,
its primary projectile does decent damage (comparable to a slightly better standard attack when leveled) it has 100% pierce chance which is the major drawback of a whole bunch of projectile attacks and then it explodes for more damage, though admittedly in a random direction, and it has the perk of getting exponentially better the more projectiles you get. It is definitively the spectral throw of bow builds. (prenerfed spectral throw) And by that I mean it is clearly powerful and will be the most popular skill for bows by far .. while there still technically being some viable alternatives (just like how spectral throw had better alternatives in really specific situations) short ranged spells are shit , spells that cant hit a ton of targets are shit. those two facts alone are why things like ek and fire ball are just weak. and those two skills would be made much better is there was some mechanic to increase their aoe as they level. another thing that could help address this situation is if ggg stopped making all these gems favor physical damage. why do so many skills just give flat physical as they level? why isn't it just damage? i want mutlistrike on my ele melee , but that 40% physical buff does NOTHING for me. fuck that noise Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Dec 30, 2014, 11:06:26 AM

" That's terrible logic. Going by that line of reasoning every player in the game feels inferior because we have all used weak builds at some point that aren't nearly as good as others. He doesn't feel inferior, he was pointing out that TS was far and away better than he could make EK. Standard Forever

yeah don't say he feels inferior , nado shot is by far the best bow skill in the game.
does it need a nerf? no, but we can learn from its design for what direction we must take other skills the idea of an increased damage multi as the gem levels is so much better than adding flat physical that arbitrarily favors physical builds on skills and supports that are supposed to be for multiple builds. and its great aoe potential means we have justification to retroactively buff the aoe performance of MANY of the older skills.
