A guide has been posted here which covers general aspects and strategies of racing.

A summary of Time based events:

Timed based events are new type of event introduced in Race Season 9, they are designed to create a new kind of competitive environment where players compete not by character experience, but by their capabilities to progress through the game and complete specific objectives, such as killing bosses.

The boss required to be defeated for this race is: Brutus, located in The Upper Prison.

  • The time recorded is based from the beginning of the race, not when your character is created.
  • Characters will not appear on the ladder until they have completed the objective.
  • Characters are not required to have completed the time based objective in order to receive points for the other objectives, such as points awarded for reaching certain levels.
  • Characters who die after completing the objective, will still be counted for receiving reward points except for the level-specific prizes.
  • Points are awarded at the end of the race, do not delete your characters until they have been moved to the permanent leagues.

yay cant wait easy points :P
I love this shit.

The only race where a godly ledge isnt good :<
I honestly thought I was going fast, but then seeing result 1,5min behind 1st Marauder :>
got all good zones except for long upper prison

>4th marauder

gears

of Hillock but then no iron ring on vendor, still was 1-shotting most monsters

had no ids until upper prison where I got

this drop in pris. gate :>
Playing with 70-80ms ping, which is causing long loading between zones,
resulting in 2-4 minutes disadvantage in 1 hour races.
(I was wrong, it wasn't a ping issue but something else on GGG side)

Do people actually use maphack? Or is that just another one of those things people like to blame when they suck?

If they do, does anyone know (or could guestimate lol) how many/what proportion of them use it?
