board game recommendations

If you like Talisman, there's always Relic.
It's besically Talisman set in the Warhammer 40k Universe. It fixes a few of the problems people had with the original Talisman, but doesn't make it much more complicated. There's always dungeon crawlers as well. This simulated the roleplay experience pretty well, but tends to be a bit rule heavier. One player typically plays the bad guys and needs the best grip on the rules, while everyone else just plays a character or two. Super Dungeon Explore Descent Level 7: Omega Protocol (Sci-fi setting with guns, limited loot) Mice and Mystics Dungeons and Dragons Adventure Board Games (Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon, Legend of Drizzt) There was some suggestions for Munchkin, which is a card game. If you want the spacial board game elements that provide strategic movement options, there's Munchkin Quest available as well. I only really recommend munchkin to people who have enough experience with roleplay or fantasy settings to get the jokes, because without the humor Munchkin isn't that spectacular in my opinion. |

So for old time's sake I picked up Talisman and my step brothers and I played it last night. It's not quite snakes and ladders, there is a modicum of strategy in there, but whogivesashit! It was an epic 4.5 hour game with many twists and turns, whereupon Minstrel MrP finally prevailed in a toe-to-toe fight to the death at the crown of command as I came back from 8 lives to 1 down with only 1 more strength than the evil Wizard bro. I haven't done the maths, but the chances of winning from 8 lives to 1 down with only 1 more strength have to be fantastically small.
Immensely fun to play and drink at the same time, without having to sour interpersonal relationships. P. Last edited by mrpetrov#7089 on Dec 26, 2014, 4:23:51 PM

" I hear good things. Would love to play this. Pathfinder really appeals to me. I only discovered it recently when it was announced that Obsidian have acquired the rights to make a crpg with the Pathfinder license http://pathfinder.obsidian.net/ Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
