Why should i play new leagues?

" This. I would guess that the new league mods, at least if you're a softcore player, aren't enticing enough for you to start fresh. But a fresh economy, and one where you can pick up items that may even remain unique to your league after it ends (and eventually go up in price in Standard), is the best reason to start from scratch. Many people claim it's easier to accumulate good items and wealth from the temporary economies. Dreamfeather Elemental Cleave Ranger: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1087616

" It's all a matter of playstyle. Some players just get bored when they are able to create any character they want and insta equip him using their perma league economy so they like to start again at a new league. Perma leagues are fun for a while but I can't ignore the fact that a league with extremely powerful legacy uniques and rare items feels strange. It's like I'm stuck in the past wearing a legacy Kaom's getting life nodes from the tree. Game is way past this point and I want to enjoy it as if I'm a new player starting now. So I play from scratch :) Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

Why should I play Standard or Hardcore?
|
|
" Because the developers focus on a game mode, and it isn't standard. Why play the version of the game that the dev cares very little about, when you can play the version that dev cares the most about? This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

Here's a good reason, but it comes in the form of a question:
Did you enjoy playing the game so far? You can recapture that fun by starting fresh. I did it many times in D2 days, even though I had stashes full of nifty items. It makes the game new again. I'll be giving this one a try, though I would prefer a shorter league or an 'opt out' option, where I could migrate to HC when ever I wanted to. |

" It has nothing to do with what the devs care about, its just different leagues... |

" lol beyond and rampage were the most cared leagues right? RIGHT? Forum pvp

" Different leagues matter to different degrees to the devs. Since they got limited resources, they focus on certain leagues more than others. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

I see 2 reasons to start in new leagues.
1) you're in the group of people who like to start fresh. Who are too lazy to maintain a 20 stash tabs shop. Who are depressed when they look at the mess in their stashes. Who think yeah i'm new, better start in a league with no advantage and be on the same footing as anyone else (allegedly). Who wanna see the 10 new uniques that they will probably use for ... 2 or 3 days before they find it just "another supporter trash unique". Usually laid back they don't play much endgame, spend all their currency going there, get bored and start over a new toon to spend again. 2) you're in the group of people that know the game very well and know that they can make loads of currency by selling to group 1. Meaning you know how to get to maps fast and cheaply, do atziri, maybe uber, craft properly, maitain a nice shop. You go to temp league because you can sell what would be considered trash in standard and so that your shop is not diluted in the million of items from standard. Also because group 1 size can be sometimes bigger in temp than standard. There are two kinds of people in the world, those with loaded guns, and those who dig. Personnally i hope to do a small transition from group 1 to group 2. Just to be able to do super expensive build before act 10... Was already getting there but it took me some times to find ways to get wealth, was probably using that shovel for a few months. Last edited by Squirrel_of_doom#0086 on Dec 8, 2014, 10:19:29 AM
