Acuity is not worth 200 ex

I am still waiting for some Robin Hood RMTer to draw thousands of exalts, buy all Acuitys on the market and resell them for 30-50ex to establish a new (old actually) price. People can dream.

Go try Uber farm and tell me if its worth or not

Well:

1. I don't see uber farmers begging in the streets for a dime to buy a loaf of bread.... Look at I_NO a couple pages back, he paid 280 ex for a mirrored bow, he seems to be doing just fine? Don't tell me 200 ex price is a form of charity to help those poor people that have atziri builds? :-)

2. Vertex is 3-5 ex. Splendour is 3-6 ex. Disfavour is 5-12 ex. Acuity 200 ex?

3. So what if the farmer is unlucky, the price should originate in the item's quality, not farmer's lack of luck in RNG. I somehow never found... Kaom's Roots for example, doesn't make them 200 ex.

4. Speaking of item's actual quality, 200 ex for a pair of gloves that (as the only attempt to defend the item itself stated) "help crit builds with reflect a little" is still nuts, you have to admit as much.

I did more than 150 runs and had only 2 pairs . So 150 sets (lets say 10ex each) = 1500 ex. I know some people who did over 200 runs and had them only once. So stop talking bullshits please its not worth to farm Uber anymore . Why i keep farming? Because there is no end game stuffs , atziri is the only place to have some fun and challenge because maps are so easy! How about you start to farming some currency while wasting time in forums and crying?
P.S How you can compare trash armor like kaoms with acuity?Oh and yea "get gud "

Variance can be a bitch, but if you count the global gain of all the atziri farmers it is either:
- very profitable
- prices and drop rates that have been shown are wrong.

Unless I'm wrong.
- you get like in average 4ex from the dropped unique when not acuity
- you get at least 1 or 2 maps, for an easy 1ex+ back
- sets cost 10ex (i sold some, very hard to get 11 or 12)

So every run costs like 5ex at the end?
And you get acuity every 20 runs (heard 5% drop rate).
So on average every 20 runs you make a 100ex benefit.

Please correct me if i'm wrong somewhere.

At the moment, i'm on the side of the people who try to hoard 200ex to get a pair, but if I could farm it, I think I totally would. Even if it is probably better to have a nice amount of currency at hand to avoid variance.

From what I see, the price mostly comes from the low number of people able to run it or the big fee for uber service. It doesn't seem like an equilibrium of reward vs effort.
For me personally, no I wouldn't buy an Acuity for 200ex at this point, even though I can easily afford one.

The point of Acuity, to me, is to deal with the reflect issue. I've leveled up a witch and a ranger to 89-90 without needing Acuity, and I don't intend to level past 90 until 1.4 and Act IV hits. It's just too tedious and pointless without endgame content to justify that boring grind.

As for reflect, with a ranger, unless you're using Glyph Mark or Lioneye's Glare along with PPAD, you don't need Acuity. Tornado Shot GMP is fairly reflect-safe as it is (pop Atziri's Promise and/or Granite if you need to), especially with some EV and Ondar's Guile + Acrobatics. I don't recall the last time I ever died to reflect on my ranger.

With the witch, I went Rainbownuke build, which 1) cannot use Acuity anyway since it's a RT build 2) isn't as vulnerable to dying to elemental reflect as many LL-builds, due to Purity auras and little off-screen damage, 3) costs less for the entire build than one Acuity, and 4) is still Uber-capable.

The item is very powerfull. The unique mod allows you to leech instantly without losing life regen (if crit build of course) and save points cuz you don't need vaal pact. That in itself is over powered, but on top of that you have life, crit and high int (which leaves free affixes on other items if you're struggling for int). Add to that the difficulty of obtaining the item via drop, the high price isn't a surprise.

Another reason for it's price is the popular shatter chuck build (and other builds I'm sure) which needs regen and instant leech to function comfortably.

I have never owned these gloves, nor am I close to affording a pair. But there are plenty of fun (and powerful) builds out there that don't need them, so what's the problem? Some items are expensive, ain't nothing you can do about it.

- The item itself isn't that good at all. The stats of it, the fundamentals here, the fact that it's a pair of gloves to begin with, make it into nothing more than a useful accessory.

You really don't have any idea what you are talking about. I have a Mjolner and a 6L Shavs, and I would give them both up tomorrow for Atziri's Acuity.

None of that even matters, though. They are worth 200ex because people will pay 200ex for them. That is how a market economy works.

Car dealerships have a bunch of unsold vehicles on the property. They will eventually sell for around the price listed on the vehicles. Just because they're sitting on the lot doesn't mean no one's going to buy them. Your argument lacks perspective.

Seems salty that you can't play the trading game so you run into the guise of It's just not worth 200 ex while the community just as stated pretty much devoured you lol

Now you run into the whole let me post a meme picture ^_^

And that's why you've pretty much lost any type of credibility you ever had within the thread to begin with.
