UNSET Ring VS Diamond Rings (Dragon's Hold ReDvined.)

Unset rings will have their day, they are powerful enough to warrent it when the community discovers. A build optimized for 26 gems is potentially more powerful than a build optimized for 24 gems with additional 2 passives, but not all have use for two additional single slots.

leap/warp without support works. You aren't supposed to transport yourself with it, you just jump obstacles, and a slow warp allows safest strongbox picking.

Having a panic button Vaal Discipline for when there are no mobs around and you have a bunch of poison stacks on you or something would be pretty useful. Really, the difference in <5% DPS isn't going to be noticeable at that level anyway.

Eh I still think a passive on you in general is stronger then a limited gem on a fight anyway.

It is not always about a limited gem, sometimes you will simply not be able to use all gems you need to make your intended build without an unset. It could be that warp/leap, or it could be that arctic armour, or a combanation which frees up one more important gem to be chained in it's slot.

The problem is people are stat junkies, it's the easiest to understand. Look my char has 2k more dps than yours, etc, but then, where did the obstacles clearer go etc. Slowdowns, that disguise themselves as the best on stats, but where really a socket offers something far superior to 4% increased dps or something like that.

This probably works well to balance total crit chance on a scion or witch because as a lowlife BM build you will get to get the 2 extra 20% Crit chance nodes next to assassination, but for me, as a ranger, even at 114 points at level 95 I am still starved off skill points since i took the LGOH nodes and can't get those 2 20% crit chance, so i have to stick with 2 diamond rings to cap it.

So gonna go a little off topic in that I'm not specifically talking about Dragon's Hold or LL ST/wander, but could unset base be best for summoners? Don't need any of the other implicits and from what I've read they are often very tight for gem slots. Something like Convocation or Desecrate could work fine without links.

unset ring are mad good for summoners, however I have the only mirror worthy unset ring atm, unsets are typically pretty new meta/ new grounds to be explored, idk if summoners in general mirror items tho...
