What a well thought out idea. When someone's power goes out they should definitely be punished!

ALT+F4 is sending application signal to shutdown. When you powers goes out, obviously the only signal around will be yelling "Fu*k". So it can be punishable for alt+f4 guys :)

You really think it's that hard to circumvent that?

Seems like the way the system works now just encourages a rehash of Chickenhack. A lot of people seemed to think that part of the "skill" in playing HC was being able to alt f4 if you knew you were in a hairy spot. I thought it was always a cheap, out-of-game way to avoid death, personally.

This game has this wonderful thing that most ARPG's lack that hard counters Alt-F4, and even instant logouts.

That thing happens to be one shots. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make yourself COMPLETELY IMMUNE to being one shotted in this game.

When the planets align and your luck fails, whether you log out instantly or alt-f4, you will still die and there is nothing you can do about it.

As long as its possible to get stuck in walls and desync. This needs to be in the game.

I agree with your premise, but it really does not apply to this game. EVERY situation can be helped some way, if you do not make mistakes. Except some computer/connection problem or whatever, you don't have control over.

If you make mistakes in certain situations it means you will die, but I'm fine with that, although some clues would be helpful in some situations (like reflect aura graphic effect being more visual like 'allies cannot die' in fact I would swap both lol).

If you're serious, I'll briefly tell you why I don't mind:

Everybody in the game has an equal opportunity to alt+f4. Nobody really has any significant advantage over another person in this regard.

I frequently run into desync issues and this one bug where I CANNOT control my character. I literally cannot move, cannot attack, cannot click town portal, nothing. The only option I have is hoping I get lucky and it lets me move, or exitting the client. I know for a fact this is not the stun mechanic because I recently had one enemy attack me while I was locked in place, and it could barely scratch me while I stood there making sure I wasn't being an idiot and doing something wrong. No reason I should have been sitting there locked in place for 40 seconds.... alt+f4 is a god send when this happens in a bad situation.

This does not affect anyone else's personal experience in any substantial way. Someone alt+f4ing does not hurt you except in the most specific circumstances, and even then you can alt+f4 yourself.

The only thing bad about alt+f4 that I can imagine is that, under SOME people's opinions, it is "dishonorable." And honestly, that should NOT be a big enough deal to add in a terrible ten second death bubble for disconnects....
