Lightning Tendrils
I noticed that when using Herald of Thunder with Tendrils, it seems to apply the added damage to each cast (4) instead of spread out as 1.
I checked it against arc as well to confirm that the dps boost is significantly higher on tendrils then arc. Has anyone tested Spell Echo yet? I'm curious to know if it applies 4 times instead of once as does Herald of Thunder? Edit** I also wonder about added lightning or added chaos with similar effects. I do agree that being a projectile to be able to add Fork, Chain and Projectile Speed would have made a ton of sense.

Another gimmick spell. While melee get Auto Aim 1-hit mechanics, spells get shafted again.

" When I got the gem the First thought in my head was that it would be superduper on HC. You cast a massive amount of casts/sec. How does knockback sound? blind? hell, even 3 dragons and micro freeze and now that Spells can stun, it stuns All the time. I got a Knockback shrine and the monsters couldn't even get close to me. Combine Lightning Tendrils with Knockback/Blind and Ondars Guille. Then you're safe from almost any danger in the game, except long range AOE. |

the tendrils seem to have its own knockback.
I can see myself using this, but I need more AOE and cast speed. I don't like the sound the spell makes though. My brain seems to be expecting something "electric" rather than "swoosh" sound. " This is, in my opinion, the only thing that needs to be added to LT. It NEEDS the Duration tag, badly. It's a channel 100%, so Duration is a must. In addition, because it is a channel, you should be able to rotate your character while casting. I'd also like clarification on exactly how it deals damage, because there appear to be two layers to the cast. The overall aoe and the actual tendrils that curl through it. Is damage dealt everywhere in the larger aoe or do the tendrils have to come into contact to deal damage? Edit: The difference being, if the tendrils are irrelevant it's safer, if the tendrils are the source of damage then getting closer to a target has the potential to shotgun an enemy with all of the tendrils simultaneously. I'd go with:
LT - Light pen - fast cast - knockback - qual. added light Everything with as much increased AoE as possible (at least 60%) As a fast hitting spell knockback seem an obvious choice to keep enemies distant and with 25% shock chance from tree è 10% from qual added lightning you have a total of 35% chance to shock Added in HoI and HoL for extra damage. Those two will apply each cast NOT each 4 casts so those are very powerful |
