This games community is now worse then LoL
The subreddit definitely is.
The LoL subreddit isnt particularly friendly (it mostly mindless circlejerk) but the PoE subreddit is downright toxic. Standard comments there are insults, belittleling and stuff. It even made it into the top 25 most negative subreddits out of the ... 20,000 or more subreddits that exists when a bot ranked it lol. |

" This sounds interesting, do you have a link to the thread? GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Global 1 is pretty cancerous. You have better chance of getting game answers asking around in the hoods of compton.

" I found it, the ranking is bullshit because the bot didn't learn any context before analyzing the PoE subreddit. Sentiment analysis doesn't work without context and even if the bot learns context it's usually quite bad. The sample size (34 posts lol) is also quite low. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Any comparison in which something is "better" or worse" creates a hierarchy and the topic of the thread is very much a such comparison. You are very much right that in the reply of yours I previously quoted, you didn't create a hierarchy. My main point is though that I strongly disagree with your "Where LoL attracts super-competitive pvp types, PoE attracts super-competitive build-theory types." statement. In LoL, if you are one of the best build-theory types, you can actually be hired as an "analyst" for one of the top teams in the world. In PoE, if you are one of the best "build-theory" types, at best you get many youtube followers. The reward for becoming one of the absolute best "build-theory types" in LoL is thus likely far larger than in PoE. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

" Yes, that is true, it is a circlejerk, but it is not just one circle. There are usually at least 2 gigantic circles, which creates an entertaining environment. You can pick which circle to join depending on the topic. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

'Solo is not possible'.
My current Marauder just moves around a little, stands still and everything dies. Maps get cleared so fast. (b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted.

" ARAM is a casual just for fun mode, of course there will be much less negativity than in ranked elo hell for example. So yeah, really depends on what exactly you compare. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" I'm 99% solo as well, however, my reasoning is different. My build has a habit of igniting teammates who melee that have horrible resists to fire. I leave the party if I notice that they are dying shortly after being ignited (game won't say it but its obvious I was at fault for them dying). my other reason is that I like to take it slow and I really hate it when a ranger (usually a ranger) speed runs straight through everything to the exit or a warrior does the same but does that slam jump all the time, which btw, is annoying when its done for straight lines. An example, there have been many vaal runs that people who had faster movement speed ran straight to the boss, ignoring everything else, killed it, and then left the area to only have me show up, get none of the xp and just see whatever loot they left behind. As an example, I didn't beat Act III on the first difficulty. By the time I got to the boss area, she was 99% dead then the difficulty was over. I didn't get any storyline or anything. theory-shadow: http://tinyurl.com/l3nu76x | puncture
