[2.1] Nalaa's Phys Lightning arrow | 5L 30k dps

Hi

Just another noob here..
Im new at this and wonder what you mean by:

Question 1:
-------------
Bandit Quest Reward
Oak/Skill Point
Skill Point
Skill Point

??

Should I help Oak and kill all the others, or what does this mean?
Help all, kill all?

And should I then do the same every time? Every diff lvl?

Question 2:
-------------
Is there any step-by-step guide how to use the skills? Here all shows at once..
Maybe some are better to use lvl ~20, ~40, ~60 and so on?

Thanks alot for this guide!!

My jaw dropped.

The 60% reduced crit damage is crucial (in HC at least).

Also by getting Iron Grip and ele damage, you're gimping yourself out on once since you're going to be aiming for a tri-res bow (which then in turn makes iron grip pointless since it doesn't affect projectile damage, only projectile attacks which is the physical component).

[e] To the above guy, 40 base health is very good and you should get it for this build. By helping Oak, you automatically have to kill the other 2. Kill all 3 for the skill point.

I wouldnt say its near as crucial as a ranger in Softcore. It is a good skill but i can you should priortise damage over it. Hardcore is different. Rangers should barely get hit. I wouldnt spec all the way down just to get it.

Iron grip is a very good skill imo.

The increase to Physical Damage from Strength applies to Projectile attacks as well as Melee attacks. Strength grants +0.2% melee physical damage per point, which is converted to ranged damage with this passive. Every 10 strength points you have give you +2% melee physical damage.

If im not wrong, it gives roughly 50% more physical damage, which is a lot. For this build, the best bow to get is a pure physical high damage bow with high lightning damage (according to nugiyen).

I have been studying the Passive Tree and looking at different builds from different classes since the game went OB.

Your build here hits all the major nodes I want to hit now that I have figured out how I will be playing. Other builds hit nodes I didnt really want but werent a waste of points either. Yours appeals to my understanding of things that I have learned from reading and studying the forums.

Thank you for this build!

Normal: Either help oak or kill all 3 (helping oak is a tad better for now)
Cruel: Kill all 3
Merciless: Kill all 3

Sorry kind of a noob question, but why do we pick up resolute technique in this build? I thought shock damage happened on crits?

You pick it up so you don't kill yourself on critical hits (negates your critical hit chance) against elemental reflects and so your attacks never miss. In return, you pick up Static Blows so that on any lightning damage you do, you get a 10% chance to shock and isn't dependent on crits. There's also a node below it that adds another 10% chance to shock, so you can get a grand total of 20% shock chance anytime you deal lightning damage, which is usually through Lightning Arrow.

So I am getting my ass handed to me in act 3 cruel difficulty at the moment. I only have 1 4L item as of now
with LA,weapon elemental damage, faster attacks and life leech. Will using life gain on hit help? My life leech gem is also kind of low level so maybe that's the problem? Or should I spend some orbs on chain?
