Can All the desync Moaners quit it please

I don't mind desync here and there, but when there are skills that are part of the game, but pretty much driven to the corner because it cause desync, it isn't really what you'd want.

Can all the desync defenders and white knights quit it please?

The game is great but desync and optimization are a huge issues that need to be solved.

Expect constant complaints until these problems are gone.

You can call out for every person crying about desync to stop it but you can understand that some like myself aare getting sick and tired of losing charrecters in HC(beyond) due to desync ?

To be fair, most people who play Beyond are well aware of the existence of desync. If they then still decide to play there, especially with a build that is affected by desync, it is a deliberate, informed choice on their part. I'm not sure how much ground there is for valid raging when a character is lost to desync, in that case.

I call BS on this. If I didn't scour through the forums during work hours, I wouldn't even know about this issue and I would be ragequitting on my first desync death and I would immediately stop sinking money into microtransactions. But because I know, I'm a bit more understanding; for now...
Well hello Mister Fancypants. Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things right now: Jack and shit... and Jack left town.

Man I love this game > victim blaming. You know: she CHOSE to get her booty felt up on the subway, because she CHOSE to wear a dress that day.

One has to be very young or very insensible to compare "dying" to desync in PoE to a woman getting raped in a subway. Perhaps you should talk to women who have been raped to understand how utterly stupid and disrespectful an analogy of that nature is. Or if that is too uncomfortable, read Sebold's "Lucky".

The point remains: We know about desync. I dislike it as much as everyone, and it is the reason why I don't play half the builds I'd love to play. I don't, because I know the outcome. If I play HC, pick a build that is prone to desync, then get killed, I simply have no reason to complain -- especially if I keep doing the same thing over and over.

There is no Chris sitting at the console and desyncing my character for sexual pleasure so that he can get off on my rage. There is no victimization. Desync in PoE is simply a fact. You can bitch about it and scream "But there shouldn't be desync!" until you turn blue in the chubby face, it doesn't change it. No one disagrees that "there shouldn't be desync", but when you know of it, repeatedly lose characters to it in HC and still make no change to your playstyle and the builds you use (or your expectations), and keep doing something that you know will piss you off, then it's your responsibility.

There are only three choices: a) you adjust, b) you quit, c) you keep acting like a baby and blame others for your own decisions until you adjust or quit.

The choice is, as always, yours.

(This does not exclude constructive discussion or critical feedback. I frequently criticize desync and poor optimization and some design choices. I refer solely to the tearful crying and the juvenile, puffed up bitching as if you were the victim of someone's deliberate intent to upset your gaming experience.)

No they cant or they got nothing else to biatch about. Sad but true, i already made a suggestion to ban the word desync from the forum but oh well, GGG must love the complaints about it more than the people who hate those complaints.

i'm actually pretty sad that something which is read cannot be unread.

on a related note, i already suggested that they let a group of players temporarily play the exiles, maybe as a price or something.

I only read the first post, and it didn't make much sense. Desync has nothing to do with "internet speed". My bandwidth is very low in my current location, and that is fine. PoE sends a few hundred bytes per second and receives a few KB. Just like most online games. Desync isn't somehow a requirement for the game to use little bandwidth.

If by speed you mean ping, then desync will affect you at 20ms as much as at 200ms. It is, again, not somehow required so that you can play at 200ms.

I don't think the thread starter understands the difference between desync, latency, and packet loss. Telling people not to voice valid criticism is a good way to make them grow more resentful and become even more vocal.

Ping does make a difference because it takes that much longer for the server to respond increasing the chance that you get out of sync.

the reason I mention internet speed is simply because I have a new connection which has 1/2 the speed of my old one I have noticed a significant decrease in the quality of my poe experience (more desync longer load times), I have also at the same time upgraded my computer so the hardware has only got better.

I understand about victim blaming but 200 people marching down a street is not going to stop sexual assaults while 200 people patrolling dodgy areas is. Right now all the "Fix desync" threads are people marching, (useless) but unfortunately there are too few people actually providing constructive feedback.
