6L - 4Ex, Bringer of Rain - 6+Ex

I was looking to get another link on my main attack and checked poe.xyz.is...

"Wow, a lot of 6L armors at around 4 Ex in Rampage...
Wonder how cheap BoR, the Poor Man's 6L, will be...
6.5-7Ex? Why?"

Is there a reasoning behind it? BoR isn't so hard to find, and even with the masters, a 6L is still out of reach for pretty much anyone (1500 fusing and insane master levelling)...
So why did 6L body armors drop from 10+ Ex to 4+, and BoR jump from around 1 Ex to 7?

Because 6L armours drop from those strongboxes as well. You might say: but BoR can also drop from them!

But IMO low ilvl 6L < BoR.

I know BoR is a great item and I know what it is good for, but it was - since I started playing in Domination - always way cheaper than 6L items (except Tabula Rasa and shitty 6L weapons).

BoR is very hyped again and combined with WoE was always a strong combo. It also seems to be rarer now, haven't seen as many BoRs as before...so not sure. So yeah, less on the market and more ppl asking for one leads to high prices.

People seem to forget that it also gives 20-30 phys dmg and blind which are nothing to scoff at.

Though blind was nerfed pretty heavily (from 75% down to 50% I think) so I expected BoR being cheaper...

Bringer of rain is essentially a 7-link, adds an average of 22.5 flat physical damage, gives 10% block and has another unique effect with endurance charges on block, it is basically the perfect item early into leagues.

Combine that with the moderately high rarity of the item and there you have your 6 Ex market price.

If it fits my build I will gladly take it over some barely decent 6-link any time.
