[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

Hi Guys,

Raider here

i am running Lioneye Glare, alpha's howl, queen of the forest, maligaro's, atziri, drillneck. resist belt, amulet and rings.

Skill gems.
5L:Tornado shot-PPAD-PTL-Pierce-GMP / Blink arrow
4L(helm):Vaal grace-Grace-Hatred-Enlighten
4L: CWDT-Immortal Call-Increased Duration-Frost Wall
4L: Frenzy-COH-Assassin's Mark-GMP
5L: ??-??-??-??-?? / Ice Golem

I have capped Pierce and resist. Using frenzy as charges generator works well for me also. No problem with using tornado shot as single/multi targets killer.

That said, i have a spare 5L that i have no idea what to do with. Setting up another single target killer like blastrain seems like abit of a waste. I'm thinking of setting up a strong golem but pretty sure that's quite dumb as well.

All the blue wordings are Physical to lightning gems.

Is Silvertongue viable with this build until I get a good Harbinger?

Either siege ballista or barrage. Both are useful in certain situations.

First of all thanks a lot for this guide, helped a lot, and made me stumble upon a build that is fun and effective !

I managed to get to T14+ maps without too much trouble (some one shots, some boss are annoying, and I CAN'T deal with reflect in any way).

I dropped a pit of the chimera map, so I alc'd it, vaal'd it, managed to go through the map easily, but then the boss...

He litteraly crushed me. Used all my ports and couldn't get him below 75% (the only mod effective in this fight was the crit chance/crit multiplier one).

One shots all over the place, and far from having enough damage to burst him (couldn't even burst the adds).

So I think I hit wall there, and I need advice to optimize my passives/stuff.

- Tornado shot 55k dps unbuff
- 4225 hp
- 9k eva
- 90% chance to hit

I feel like I can't get any upgrade unless I spend many exalts (which I don't have), and it will be only minor upgrades, but I might be wrong.

Found my first PoC map today too and alc'd and vaal'd. I got completely owned as well. The ads he summons were the biggest problem for me, I had the faster monster, incresed moster life mod, which was the big issue for me. the ads were moving as fast as me and hitting like a truck.

The boss himself wasn't too much of an issue after the first two rips to him, kinda worked him out and decoy totem and ice golem helped quite a bit...distracting him sometimes. The decoy no help at all with the ads though, destroyed virtually as soon as I cast it.

If I ever happen to get another one to drop, I'll be more careful with the mods...and hope the vaaling doesnt completely screw it up. I might also equip TC curse as well to use on the Ads to hopefully slow them down.

If that doesn't work, it might be time to retire my TS character to MF only duties and build a better toon.

Your gear is pretty awful. First things first, head over to poe.trade and upgrade for as little as possible. Gain your extra few levels (68 i think should be good) and then spend on the best harbinger and a 6link chest you can afford.

See, I know my resis dropped since I changed Boots/Belt/Gloves/Chest/Helmet recently and level appropriate. ATM I have Cold/Lightning/Fire/Chaos-Resi on 42/31/21/0 from these slots. On Merciless this means -18/-29/-39/-60. Which sucks, but at least life and Evasionrating are good for my level I guess, as every slot is wihtin 1-3 level range an is mostly of higher quality.

My plan is to go for a set of Ruby-/Topaz-Rings to boost Lightning/Fire resi and enchant them with some essences, hoping for further resis. Same with a Lapis-Amu I guess, as I have enough STR from gear. This should help to get the resis at least into the positive range.

See, I don't have lots of currency, and when I look for a 5-Link chestpiece with +life and 2 +30% resi I can't afford it (~30 Chaos), or it's cheap but for lvl 40 and therefore Evasion is horribly outdated I get hit by literally everything.

As I was boosted by friends to Act II merciless, I went back to Cruel and get the missing skillpoints from sidequests. I just dropped them to level faster.

So I guess I know what to reach out for, but not exactly how to. Is it worth to invest in level 54-58 gear now anyway? What about defensive skill gems? What about passives? What pieces of my gear are a "must-upgrade-now"?
