What I do is spamming a curse on the mob packs.
If there isn´t a curse-immune mob in there,, I at least see IF there are still any mobs in the colored fireworks.. ^^ "Ta-Ta, not-a-cockroach"

That is why I keep saying that the game needs more graphic options. Hope GGG will do that soon enough.

Agree, add more options.
If D3 style mini life bars don't get in, then at least mod the monster highlights with options: -remove it fully (hey if you want to be hard to the core go ahead) -keep it as it is (1 pixel width default) -multiply the highlight thickness by x2 -multiply by x4 (really fat highlights) Also add a highlight fade out timer? Could be something around 3-5 sec. Every enemy you hit with a mouse hover over gets highlighted and even if you move your mouse, their highlight lines stay and fade out slowly over some time. And yes to filtering party member spell effects to a total minimum. "Players can now smack around players who are having trouble very early on."
