I vote for HUGE troll attempt.

But still, I don't think u r supposed to look for "link" as HTTP but some meaning that will connect the number 4 and 6 to a certain letter on the page. But even with this the number 6 is not even in the "cipher" so gl with that.

Further more the hints leading to:
Beta invite timer
Elements
Resources
POE (Path of Exile or Edgar Alan Poe?)
and wtf is supposed to be width of the gemsocket...

the numbers left out of the sequence also doesn't make any sense

Even though both of the 'puzzles' have been arbitrarily obscure and seemingly impossible to actually solve, reading all the responses in both the threads has been really entertaining :)

i cant be bothered working this out, but the clues he gives is basically a reference to the some html/css/js stuff.

1. destroyer of hope (every god dam 2o minutes)
goto the timer page

2. fire, water, wind, earth (inspect this. use google chrome for most obvious result)
elements tab - inspect the page source with google chrome developer tools (built into chrome, or use firebug with firefox i spose)

3. land, labour, capital, enterprise (what are these, starts with r and rhymes with bee horses)
resources tab

4. POE
all i see is a poe.css which contains the text "body{background:#000 url('../../image/background.jpg') no-repeat top center;}", although i suppose it could be a reference to anything named 'path of exile', in which case you have:

path_of_exile.jpg (width = 980)
path_of_exile_piece.jpg (width = 116)

5. socket that gem (gemsocket, whats the width of that)
this part im not sure, seems a bit obscure, the closest thing i can see is the img widths i mention above, unless im meant to open those images and measure in pixels the width of something inside the image (unlikely).

meanwhile there is no text within the html/css/js referring to gems or sockets unless you accept the actual text in the news items mentioning gems twice (but no socket).

alternatively it might be a very obscure reference to ssl sockets mentioned in the code, but i doubt it.

meanwhile the wiki page has been vandalized and fixed and vandalized and fixed etc., depending on how fragile this puzzle is, it might be changed too much, so use the old version of the page archived on wikipedia:

For now we stop at the point, that Key was taken during first puzzle by beta member.
Now waiting for maybe new puzzle and the clear logic of this one :)

There is no fucking way anybody solved that first puzzle. Even with access to the Item Data screen there's no determining what you're supposed to be referencing there.
