Quite wonderfully; while life suffered a TINY bit, mana regen and pure mana nodes became more accessible. I think, unless the patch notes dictate a policy change, that it'll be quite valuable/viable in the next league.

I don't think builds revolving around uniques work for me. I'm not usually rich and the builds usually don't work without the uniques. I rather have a build based around skill gems and passives, which are then enhanced by uniques/strong rares, not the opposite.
