DIED BY DESYNC AGAIN
If you don´t want me to post on defensive manners, don´t post on offensive manners.
Give me solid answers to what I am asking and if you don´t have any, just don´t answer, admit the problems and think constructively, instead of bragging off your gear cause I am not interested on it. You put yourself on a cage because you are trying to defend something that is not defendable with poor arguments and offensive / vexatious ways, putting down players because they are claiming for a fix to something that is a big problem in the game. I don´t care if this has been on discussion a million times already. It needs even more discussion if that is going to make GGG move and think about a solution, and invest money and hours to fix it. " Power outtages and ISP crashes are not a game issue. I'm sorry but you are mixing external factor with an ingame problem. This. Unable to give me a solid answer. I explained to you what I did. Went up the stairs after killing dual Shipyard boss, found pack of humanoids. No leap slamming, just walking. Can you tell me how can avoid desync in such situation, sir ? Its simple, GGG cant and never fix desync. Its out from GGG brains how to fix this, open trade chat in game and try to play full party maps), then say how good is ur latency, to fix simple snapshot exploit GGG need more then 6 month to code !!!!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone so mad at a NON-HARDCORE death.

" I am not mad dude. Mistreat comes to acceptance if received by a long time. Last edited by chromafunk#7100 on Jul 5, 2014, 11:04:12 AM

" To be frank I genuinely don't care about this issue one way or another. I've pretty much overcome this desync issue. Always holding shift when casting spells, not exposing myself to any dangerous situations like running into dangerous mobs headfirst, smoke mines etc. To be fair I don't play desync prone builds. And I do realize desync is a gamebreaking problem for these builds. But either way, whether or not your argument is fair and relevant to a significant population, GGG has already stated multiple times that they cannot make desync go away given the constraints they gave themselves. I don't agree with some of those constraints (such as not allowing standalone client processing due to fear of hacking) but it's their game and their rules. Rather than complaining here into what's essentially a wall, why not just take a break, then get back into the game and try hard not to die to desync? |

" I don´t understand the client processing issue either, because hackers have alerady managed to find an effective way to bot on this game. So GGG policy on this is essentialy a big fail. Too bad. Last edited by chromafunk#7100 on Jul 5, 2014, 11:19:09 AM

" From my layman understanding bots are a different case. Bots essentially are scripts that imitate player movement and action. Since it's basically just a list of instructions mimicking a player, it doesn't actually need to change any game data. In the scenario of removing desync by trusting the players' game client, GGG is afraid that players can come up with programs that directly inject data like player position or even damage / life, made much more easy because the game client wouldn't need to check with the server. Once again I'm not a programmer, but to me adopting this "trust the game client" system is a better solution to the current one, and all GGG needs to do is to beef up the game client's security. " They stated specifically that one of the biggest reasons to trust the server was because of bots. And there are scripts already that make you be almost inmortal by auto drinking potions, I have seen that around the internet too. So ... does it really matter ? If you can make an autoclick program or make a data injection program, does it make a difference on use ? The game is being hacked anyway. With a policy of little patches every week or every two weeks all the malicious code injection and bots would be removed until the next one or two weeks. Hackers reverse engineer the client to do clickers, did you know that ? They need time after every patch to reverse engineer and make the clickers work again. It´s not hard to spot their progress because those are public sites on the internet, and they are actually pretty visible and even famous. I don´t know why I am throwing so much effort in to this, but it´s probably cause I really love what GGG is doing ? Last edited by chromafunk#7100 on Jul 5, 2014, 11:23:07 PM
