Your League ideas
Name: no-idea-what-but-let's-try Zombie Mode
Inherent Restrictions: Limited Duration, fixed time. Intended theme/feel: while playing, leaving town becomes increasingly more dangerous [possibly with a comparable increase in rewards for that kind of risk]- first comes the need to group up, but eventually leaving town becomes impossible. Special Rules: Game begins with a set 'join time' where nothing is different, and players can join this league. Slowly, monsters begin spawning in groups to attack towns (natural/non-player defenses are enough initially). Towns begin to fall [Lower level first], eventually happening despite players constantly defending-essentially making the league impossible for players who need those towns. It should be noted that for players to still need these towns they would have fallen behind in leveling. While the mobs that are attacking should have provided enough exp to get to the next town by that time (also, though maybe it should go without saying, the mobs and their exp should make for comparable-more difficult leveling than normal) <consider here the fact that, on one hand they come straight to you, on the other hand, you have no respite and might lose essential venders in the town> The point: that the waves force players to keep going up in levels at a constant rate, and if they fall behind they essentially have to wait for the league to end- or possibly (if this is something that would be allowed) have to pull their own character from the league. It pushes players like the Attrition league does, but in a different way. I'm trying to leave this suggestion as clear of unnecessary rules/restrictions, so that it can work with other types. -Imagine, if you will, this plus attrition- where it becomes a risk-reward factor of just how far ahead of others do you want to get. Can you go alone, and can you take that guy with you, because, you know, he's the closest to beating you. You can't stay in town with everyone but you need to go with someone to leave town. |

Theses Dev's are very ingenuitive I love all these ideas.
My Idea, Cut-throat,Hardcore league with stashes disabled. Or when you slay someone their stash becomes yours... The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

I just thought of a league : hardcore (or not) but without the minimap and without monster's health bars. For a more realistic experience :D

What about leagues which only affect your character, but not the game itself, so that you can play with it in any league?
Like playing HC in a softcore game, or LoL (Living of the Land, rememeber d1 variants?) for that matter. | |
" i like that idea! absolut minimum UI like Monster name, inventory adn health/mana bar. another interesting thing could be a league with limited ressources. like you can only have a maximum of X Skill Stones at a time and only a pool of Y XP for your stones so that you have to plan very carfully what to lvl and how far. | |
Maybe not add an entire new league, but a league which you have a bounty system. Players can put up rewards for killing other players who have wronged them or they just don't like. It would add an entire new dynamic to the game.
This is something I have always wanted in a game. you could just be a bounty hunter and go around killing other players for fun or you could set up bounty for people who maybe stole some kills from you or keep killing you. |

I'd like a selffound-only league. Where you cannot trade items or drop them without destroying them. Maybe with the possibility to transfer items between your own characters that participate in that particular league.

Arena mode:
The server has a half a day period of exping time, and then every one is teleported to the arena to be matched against each other in 1v1(like a big tournament). All items will be lost on death, and you won't be able to go exping before the cycle resets, but you can go spectating other battles. Killing in PvP earns you alot of exp and your opponent's items. After the winner has been found, the server resets(or doesn't?). And every one is free to go exping again. The arena could be just crude circle plot of ground or have some obstacles.
