desync LOLOLOLOL
The fact is that PoE has problems with desync and you should always be prepared for it. Jmyers died because he played terribly, opening an unid strongbox knowing perfectly well that monsters would pop out, that's a death wish if I ever saw one. In a perfect world we shouldn't have to worry about desync but unfortunately we do as of now. I myself have never had too many problems with desync because I know how to counter it most of the time (avoiding narrow spaces, not using leap slam/whirling blades/any movement skill excessively, using oos macro etc).
What I'm saying is that most of the desync deaths are because people are just careless. Sure, desync might have played a fairly big part in their deaths but by being just a little bit more observant and careful, I feel like most of the desync deaths can be avoided. I guess I'm a living example, I have never died to a desync and I've been playing for over 2,5 years now almost exclusively HC. And no, I'm not saying desync is acceptable but since it is extremely hard to fix, we just have to live with it. Last edited by MIIKKAAA#7563 on May 20, 2014, 8:34:09 PM

Lightning warp without reduced duration and good timing = problem solved.
But i agree do, it's a shit way to die, but the only thing to do is adapt. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" I use LW with both 20q Reduced Duration + 20q Faster Casting and it works fine as well, so both ends of the LW delay spectrum should be covered. I just make sure I ID all boxes before tempting fate. With proper timing only the freezing mod may cause issues for the miniscule amount of extra time to pop a flask. |

" Hey "king" (or god or whatever you call yourself), don't get offended so easily. I was just stating how it truly is. Are you actually denying that you played terribly when you died to that strongbox? Because that's what it sounds like. If you are then you're delusional. The other death with that goat boss was obviously sketchy, GGG should investigate that. The first one, nah not so much. Regular desync with you making several mistakes. " Why every time a desync occurs and killed a player, someone would say its their fault? Do they not want desync to be fixed? It seems people like that are living under dirt to survive a buggy game and being proud of it instead of pursuing the game to be better for everyone else once and for all. I Love This Game Now, Being a Summoner Hardly Associated with Desync ♫

" The reason people point those things out is, when it comes to desync, we know. GGG knows. No amount of whining is going to make them improve desync any faster, they've had the amount of feedback necessary to know it's a big issue ten times over. In the meantime, (especially hardcore) players should be aware of what situations have a higher risk of desync than normal, and take steps to avoid them, if they can't survive a desync. This player did not, and paid the price. Of course desync sucks and we want it improved but really, GGG isn't unaware anymore. Desync post #87,192 isn't going to help. |

I can't believe people are seriously AGAIN defending GGG, blaming it up on the player and making up silly excuses.
" Whining, maybe not. Quitting the game? Hell yes. There are literally thousands of quitting posts just on the forum and 90%+ mentions desync as one of the major reasons. And that's just a fraction of all players that quit. GGG is missing out on mass money. So it is dumb that they do not dedicate more resources to fixing desync. Really really dumb. The more people complain and quit, the more they will be forced! Power to the people!!! :) i use a secret account because i am a politician that doesnt want the NSA to know i play poe.

" I believe they've acknowledge that it can't be fixed. At least, not fully. What amazes me is, while wearing this:
Spoiler
I'd often see the Consecrated effect appear barely on the screen. /oos would put me where the effect was appearing, as expected. Tells me there is a MASSIVE amount of improvement that could be done for clientside detection of desync. The server knows where you're supposed to be, and the client knows where the on-character effect is supposed to go, but can't recognize that it's putting the on-character effect far away from the character itself. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

How can anyone justify this?
