Heavy Summoner Arc Witch Guide [ Video Included ]

Hi,

So, I started playing a few days ago and decided to follow the "Health Variant" guide from the Summoner's Compendium

The Guide's Build

How Far I've Gotten

Since the guide I linked is a general Summoner's guide and your guide is more specialized in what I want which is known to work, I would really like to follow your guide. I have 2 respec points from Act 1 (haven't used any) and I'm wondering what would you do to make my current build work similar to yours? What path should I be taking at level 25? What should my level 75 look like?

I've been enjoying Arc build so far and it's been a breeze so far in Act 2 and I'd hate if I had to reroll so soon into me just getting into it (I'd normally enjoy it but not now.)

Thanks :)

I prefer the way you went at the start because it's arguably a more useful path to the same key areas anyway.

Only thing that's changed is the right path at the start. It costs 2 more points, you lose 20 dex, but you gain 20 mana, 10 int, +34% ES, +10% ES recovery, and +8% more chaos resist (I removed the other 8% node to balance the points but the 16% node is really good). Worth it? Up to you, but it's how I started and I don't regret going that way at all.

Not really sure what to do about that bottom path though, you shouldn't worry though because you do get a lot of respec points.

Well I guess I was just being a bit paranoid.

I totally see what you're saying. I was concerned about how much the lack of +20 dexterity would screw more over down the road and then missing the Health passives and strength passives like the first guide I followed did. But then again, I could easily pop something into the +30 dexterity passive if there were issues. And all I need to do is try to remove the bottom path and I'm doing good enough.

Thanks a lot for the post :).
This build gets those dex nodes, and allows easy access to 2 extra +30 dex nodes so at higher levels you will be able to level up chain, and haste.
Yeah, the two 30 dex nodes are still in easy reach for me (I've got one of them for now), it's only that initial top right path that goes by the 16% chaos resist node that differs from your build.

I'm only lv41 but this is where I'm at now:

I don't think anything else will change much from your build, mostly just getting the 3 chaos resists at some point. Your new map video on youtube made me feel more confident with going full summoner.
You should try faster casting forking spark with this build. I think it will blow your mind Voidmoon.

I'll check it out :)
Is life the only viable way to go? Would it be pointless to, instead, stack Max Energy shield instead of life? Seeing as, energy shield recharges by default in 6 seconds.

This is what I was messing around with, PLEASE, if you will, strongly advise me on everything wrong and good with this. I'm a new player looking for insight.

One note: if you have CI, Pain Attunement will never activate, because with a maximum life of 1, the only way to be at <35% life is to be at 0, i.e. dead.
