Veil of the Night - Making a Build with it! Double Check my Theory Craft!
" Well considering it's my first time playing with 0 resists, NOT counting just the reckless testing I don't think anything's actually killed this character except for LAG. I use satellite internet which works great but I don't have a gamer's receiver I just have the normal one so from time to time I get big spikes and have gotten the character killed like that. It's acceptable for me becaues I'm not a hardcore player. Even then it was mostly limited to strongboxes with rogue exiles or Vaal smashing me 2 seconds before I actually see the animation =p First run through merciless though I killed Brutus, Merveil, the Weaver and all three bandits first try, no problem while my character was about 5 levels under the map level. She's blazing though content and at level 55 is more than ready for doing maps. Blue maps at least =p Any I don't have anything higher than a 4 link! Just see hwo strong she'll get if I can get a 5 link Cloak of Defiance. |

" Yeah those are good nodes, I'm considering going CI when the character is high level and switching to energy shield. This will increase the amount of times I get stunned by a lot unless i'm mistaken, may not even need the shackles anymore and the curse reflect in that case, don't know. If not CI then at least getting rid of the life nodes and getting ES instead once ES gets higher. Last edited by BearCares#6660 on May 7, 2014, 9:19:05 PM

0 resists and max spellblock could work (theoretically on a par with 75% resists and no block) as long as you aren't being one-shot by elemental damage. Any sort of blocking works well with Cast when Stunned.
You'll probably want to splurge on the Crystal Skin cluster - otherwise you will spend a lot of time on fire, frozen or shocked from the heavy elemental hits you're taking. A build involving Veil of the Night is always going to be fragile, though. There really aren't many ways of dealing with elemental damage (especially cold/lightning with their nasty status effects) that don't require resists. |
