RIP invasion all my best shit (desync, surprise?)

Right when I read "Flicker" I stopped reading, skipped the comments, and decided to post here just to say:

I do think desync could be reduced (not eliminated) but I would never play HC using a skill with known desync issues like flicker strike, leap slam, lightning warp, etc. While it's understandable to be upset you lost all that "l33t" gear, it's your own fault. All that racing means you should have known desync was exacerbated by skills like that. You were basically asking for a desync death. It sucks but it is what it is for now.

Control of your character is the most important thing to maintain 'the zone'. You know the zone. Its when your character is an extension of your own body or even IS your body.
When control is broken without warning, the serotonin spike combines with rational anger and hits you like a bull. A VERY unpleasant feeling. Nothing seems worse than being powerless, punished for circumstances beyond your control.
Which is why i prefer softcore. Iv done the HC thing, and done it well. The thrill of danger is real. But i know its just a matter of time before fate comes up with a reaper's scythe.
Noone is forcing you to play hardcore. And noone is stopping you from playing softcore once you die in HC.
Its all just a matter of perspective.

Desync is not the real issue with Flicker + Multistrike, it is just a byproduct of the fact that the skill takes control of your player out of your hands, you cannot choose every target of your attacks. You know this when you decide to use it and it is why it is not really a hc viable skill.

He says he is using bloodrage so whats the bet he just targets one mob and hold the attack button until the screen seizures stops, this is just rolling the dice with suicide before desync even comes into play.

Enough has already been said about using a valuable race reward on an undergeard char in an openly advertised RIP league.

That's a pretty ignorant point of view. There are a lot of builds which do not exacerbate desync. Accepting that desync is part of the status quo for now is the path to advancement. Does it limit builds? Sure. But to say you have to "gimp" yourself is stupid. You have to compensate for the systemic issue and adapt or move on.
