I suggest not only quoting the winner, but saying who the runner ups were.
It would make the losers feel a bit better if they were in the top 3 or 5.

For those that missed it, the dead line was like 1.23hr ago sorry ^^. I'm just reposting. I'm still currently re reading though it.
After all is done I'ma PM/get in contact with a dev and see if I can get more Keys for this simple contest since I'm seeing a lot of really good ideas that I really like.
I've actually got every thing written down on every entry (not all flattering), but I'll post some of the stuff I put down for some of the better ones.
Contest was closed on the 10th page sorry guys.

Skill name: last hope
Target: enemies, self
Description: this a an emergency spell for tanks.
your character gathers up souls from fallen enemies (1 per enemy), up to a total of 150. once your character drops below 10% hp you can cast this spell.
to not make this spell a repeatable every 5 seconds one, you consume all the souls upon casting and have to have at least 50 souls to cast it again.
the cast time should be around 1 sec to fit with the visuals.
this spell has two effects:
-it passively increases your total hp up to 250% (the 100% u have + 1% per soul u gathered) for 5 seconds.
e.g. u got a total health of 1000 and u drop down to 100 with 150 souls gathered.
you activate the skill and instantly get a max health of 2500, what means your current health increases to 250 for 5 seconds. you still get the same damage as before but this gives you some survivability.
- the second effect is an area of effect damage and knock back off all enemies in a close range of your character.
the damage is your weapon damage + up to 150% of the your weapon damage based on your gathered souls.
e.g. u got surrounded by a lot of enemies and most of them are melees. once u drop to 10% of your total health and activate this spell, all enemies in close range are knocked back and take 100% + x% of your weapon damage based on the souls u gathered.
Visuals: on activation your character first cowers and then releases all the gathered souls in a blast, which means your the epicenter of it. the souls should first look like a circle of fog and with increased radius u should be able to see some tortured ghostly faces in it.
Sounds: your character should make some sound like "hhhhnnnNNGGG" when he cowers for the 1 second cast time. and a big "RAWR" with the release of the blast. or use the flavor text as sound. *cowers + whispering* my death ... *roaring* IS NOT IN YOUR HANDS
Flavour text: my death ... IS NOT IN YOUR HANDS (i know there are better words or grammar to use this sentence but as english is not my mother tongue i cant find any, sorry)

Note: this skill could be a part of the skill tree. with every point you spend, you increase the duration of your passive health boost (starting with 1 second + 1 second per skill point up to a total of 5 seconds). or/and with every skill point you can gather up more souls (starting with 30 souls + 30 souls per skill point up to a total of 150)
i am not part of the beta yet, so you might consider that the damage of 250 weapon damage is too much/less. all the variables (duration, damage, increase per skill point, range of damage and knock back) can and should be changed to a balanced amount.
i am glad someone let me share my idea with a hope of a beta key.

NOTES:
