What if legacy leagues had legacy passive trees?

Really good point, naturally we wouldn't want to encourage account trading (although I'm not sure that's actually against the rules). It's worth considering that trade isn't entirely a valid means of item acquisition either. After all, trade is a mutual act and one player can outright refuse.

I honestly cannot thing of one reason why "because balance" should be considered a valid argument when discussing standard/hardcore leagues. Now, if there were actual legacy leagues, and every other leagues' shit went there instead--okay, that's a brilliant argument. One, I might even support.

the nerfs hurt in the short term but in a month noone's even gonna remember/care.

The game will just be stronger overall for it.

Self-cast was just stupid out-of-date. And scion was just stupid OP.

I'm also old school though, i dont think a PVE game where you are free to make any class you want should be that obsessed over 'balance' in the first place. But the whinerbase [did i just invent that word? if so TM] requires it, so just deal.
