first impression: a bit too much?.

Haven't died yet, only level 19 or something (didn't have a lot of time to play, was afk most of the day.. also rushed a mara to get LGoH).

It is definitely difficult, at least at low levels, but I have enjoyed it a lot. It was a big change to the core game, a lot more than the pervious hardcore leagues. Way harder than I was expecting too. Really cool.

First impression of Invasion: Awesomeness.

I had to re-rolled more times in normal than I did in all 3 months I played of Nemesis.

I ripped on the Coast (so probably level 3) to the discharging golem. The fight was going fine until he ignited me, but I thought it a bit silly to logout to save such a low level.

Some of the bosses seem easy and some seem quite hard, at low levels anyway. Survival of the fittest yo

I almost want to make a petition to make Invasion a permanent league.

Invader bosses so far without any deaths:
Balus Stoneskull
Bladetooth
Droolscar
Glassmaul
Granitecrush
Grath
Guardian of the Mound
Judgement Appartus! (Storm herald has nothing on this thing....)
Junglemare
Kall Foxfly
Mammothcage
Nighteater
Pewterfang
Rancor
Shivershell
Spinesnap
Strangledrift
Tailsinger
The Revenant

The best fight so far is The Sunburst Queen but that is open to anyone that enters a corrupted area. The more Deadly PoE is the more fun it is.
I'm in Act3 Cruel now taking a break.

One serious complaint I have about the bosses is that they simply don't drop good enough loot to make it worth killing them (past normal). In normal they all dropped decent upgrades, but in Cruel, 10 white items and 2 blues just simply don't cut it.

There has to be an actual risk/reward system in place, some of these bosses took ages to kill, me and my friend had to do some serious portal abuse (especially the lighting warp mob with powerful crits was ridiculous).

I predict people will eventually just end up skipping these bosses, because ultimately there is no point in risking your life killing a boss, if their perceived rarity of item drops is roughly half of that of normal act bosses.

So basically, invasion bosses, way more damage and life than act bosses, but drop way less loot.

Doesn't compute.

This sort of explains why Chris said a week ago he would play Ambush this time around.
This makes me not want to bother with the whole thing... Blah.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

But theory-crafting is half the fun in PoE :(
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
