first impression: a bit too much?.

im about 2 hours into playing...its been somewhat fun...then i ripped...rerolled, ripped again, rerolled...
here are a few problems im finding... in mud flats (lvl 3) a golem guy spawned. the guy does some attack that nearly 1 shots me... mind you, this is lvl 3. i went for the crab in lower submerged...again he spawned there...nearly 1 shotting me...i reset instance... then some snake with energy shield etc spawned and was almost impossible to kill, especially since he had puncture. ... i think its a bit much that there are too many OP uniques so early on...it would be one thing if we had the tools to fight back properly...but my lvl 3 marauder just isnt a match "The problem with scrubcore is that it is full of of scrubs"

A boss in a Vaal side area killed me twice at level 3ish.
Learned how to defeat him though and I didn't die a third time. Love this freakin game. "Man, it's like we're fighting housewives and their equipment." - Millennium

I had some fun being chased around by a guy with RF, AA and Lightning Warp.
Kept burning my minions out in seconds while they could hardly damage him. Got him in the end though. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.

Got to level 37, cruel upper submerged passage, unique devourer and a pack of at least a half dozen regular devourers pop up and gib me pretty much instantly. Spammed pots, tried to run, they just kept popping up and hitting me for massive damage. It. Was. Awesome. Sleep now, going to reroll tomorrow.

Haha I love it. Keeps the carebear kids away from day one before they become invested. Then all they do is cry. I wiped 3x already in Invasion League. My first toon, about a month ago, I made to lvl 74 b4 I wiped. They want us dead now.

Really exciting was spawning Orra Greengate from a chest only to run into a second, normally spawned Orra, the next room over while kiting.

Haven't even rolled a character in one of the new leagues. Since I'll probably be spending most of my time playing in Standard, I went directly to the tree. All I could do was facepalm after a couple minutes of looking at the changes.
I'm going to have to get tired of playing another game before I'll be willing to craft my way through all the changes in values and node placements this time around. It's not like GGG had to do this to the tree to make room for a new class, like they had to do when they brought the Scion into the game. POE is a game that I'd like to play. Not a puzzle that I'd like to solve every time a mini xpac comes out. |
