Woohooo. Decided to Yolo exalt my bow to fill in the last mod:



+44% fire resist!

Which is actually amazing since nothing offensive makes any difference, makes gearing way easier - and now means I won't need any gear swaps when Ambush ends and I can put on my Drillneck.

That might be the only time I have yolo exalted anything and had it work out well.

Hey there. I love ur build!
Mayb I still have some insipiration:
1. Skeletons don't really Need life or anything, since they will be recast all the time. So I use Blind, Flee, Spell Totem and Skels. Causes a lot of disctraction.
2. We use Zombies as a Meatshield. So damage does not really matter for those guys, so I linked Zombies, Life, Res and added Spectre. Spectre is awesome. You can either grab one of those huge things and have Large meatshield, or Grab a caster for Zombie buffs and really nice dps. Reanimators are extreme fun, since they will use ur corpses and blast away Mobs even faster than u would expect
3. I don't like the Skill beneath Deep Wisdom. Lord of the dead is fine, since the additional Zombie Comes in Handy. But I rather use Bones of Uller, which also gives me an extra spectre.
4. I don't get the Impression, that grace is as powerfull as it seems (theorycraft -> Evasion). So I rather use Purity of elements, which makes gearing easier and your meathshield even harder.

With all that, I am considering to try an MF gear with the build - any hints on that?
Heya - glad you like the build.

The way I use Skeletons and Zombies - I only use Zombies for 99% of the Map. I like how they run out to meet the mobs to help keep them stationary for a sec, and I do find they help DPS if you have them in a +2 helm and up to date leveled gems. I basically just use the Skelly totem for bosses, where I can stick a totem around something like Vaal it basically drowns him the whole fight. You are probably right in that they don't need HP - but I am not a fan of Flee at all. I want to keep things still so they stay in the Poison Cloud, not running away.

I have 0 experience with Spectres, I have never used on ever on any build - so I would be lying if I commented on them, and if they would or wouldn't be better than MultiStrike on Zombies. But if you like em I stay stick with it.

Which skill are you talking about? I don't see one under there other than Lord of the dead.

Totally 100% disagree about Grace - it gives me more Evasion than all my Gear combined, and makes Ondats much more potent. Without it, I basically wouldn't be projectile immune anymore. And gearing this toon is pretty easy anyway.

It totally works as a MF-er. Primarily because it doesn't really get any damage from gear so you have lot's of extra mods. I played some lower maps with a ghetto MF set - Auserzize, Gooldwyrm and a few pieces of Jewelry and it worked just fine. I don't because I choose challenge over farming - but you could pretty easily main-line this as an MF build if you wanted to. The only downside is any Rarity/Quantity gems don't impact Poison Arrow because stuff dies to the cloud, not the hit.

Right now - I am working on upping my movement speed - died again to Atziri - I just wasn't moving fast enough to reliably avoid stuff that needs avoiding. So got a new pair of boots with 30%, 20Q Arcti Armor, and on leveling to 92 gonna get Celerity. I am thinking that should be good.

totally trying this build out tonight looks awesome
I've got a lvl 39 ranger with a full reset so Im going to give this a shot as I have a carcass jack in the stash.

I'm going to use fire trap in the carcass as that benefits from the DoT nodes too right?

Yep you can put a Fire Trap in there - it helps speed up Magics and Rares that are Chaos resistant. It means you put Skelly totem somewhere else 4L and skip Desecrate - which doesn't add that much damage anyway.

Updated my tree a tad as I found the 2 nodes to get to the 5% mana reserve node up top gave me less mana after reductions that just grabbing two 8% nodes, and the attack speed and accuracy at Ranger start were useless. I specced into the 6/4 nodes at Ranger start. Stats and Tree updated in main post.

Still leveling these to give myself a crack at a 21/20 - they have been in my off slot of anything I have been playing with - still a ways to go, though



Gems level so slow when you want them badly :(

Having a blast with this one. Fire trap works well for rares and uniques as it speeds it up.

i had to throw a life gain on hit on the zombies as I didn't want to cast them as much as I had too. That's keeping them alive longer now.

I do need to improve my gear, can't wait for carcass jack going to use fire trap - increased duration - conc effect - cull - rarity - quantity

To get the benefit the damage over time on the tree and Fire Trap, you need it to Ignite. You should put Chance to Ignite and Elemental Proliferation in there. I use it sometimes, and I link it:

Fire Trap > Chance to Ignite > Concentrated Effect > Increased Burning Damage > Elemental Proliferation

Also - you should really try and get a bow with at least +2 to bow gem levels (very cheap without the +2/+1) or at least a SilverBranch.

Lastly - take a look at your helm - taking away all of your chance to evade and you don't get the benefit of the extra damage.
