[1.3] Sidra's Necromancing Ranger of Chaos (Poison Arrow) Videos/Atziri capable

Ok good haha I thought it wierd, because they other guys who posted trees also didn't pick ondars. I wasn't sure if I missed something.
This is my 1.2.0 update of your Poison Arrow, made it as similar and efficient as possible, let me know what you think

One thing I don't know is that with the new Physical Bow buffs how strong would be a pure physical damage Poison Arrow build, would it outdps the chaos/dot nodes?

And I still don't understand why you take Projectile Damage nodes if the skill is not considered Projectile. However, somewhere I read it affects Poison Arrow, but I'm still skeptical.

Don't be skeptical - "Projectile Damage" most definitely effects the Cloud damage. It's correct in the tooltip as well so no leap of faith required.

Your build has 118 Points, so that'd be 99 fore me I'm 95 now, and it's also missing mana and mana regen needed for the EB/AA/MoM Machine.

Physical wouldn't work because all of the physical stuff doesn't effect the Cloud, and most things you do to improve it, like getting physical damage on the bow at the cost of + levels hurt the AOE as well. You end up improving single target DPS at the cost of AOE clear speed which is generally a bad idea in this game.

Thanks bro, I just confirmed that Projectile Damage increases the AoE chaos damage, but I still don't understand how, Poison Arrow is not even tagged as Projectile... anyway...

I know this build lacks Mana regen nodes. Skills are getting their mana cost reduced so it probably won't need as much as before, in fact, there are only like 5 Mana Regen nodes in the entire passive tree.

The mana and mana regen isn't really for using Poison Arrow, though. It' for AA and MoM defense. And I don't think the mana drain from AA is getting dropped. Poison Arrow will probably come down. but it won't make any difference to the build.

If you don't like EB/MoM defense - here is a speedy evasion build that, with an Alpha's Howl would run PoL PoF Vitality and Grace.

With the new flask's buff, I think that the life+flask nodes behind the evasion wheel will be really useful. You can get ~1600 instant flasks

Looks like there's plenty of DPS in this build already, but have you considered scaling the damage with traps? I was thinking of doing a Desecrate DoT trapper build, but it seems Poison Arrow may be the better way to go as it does double the base damage.

Something like this:

* L20 Trap support is 34% MORE damage (multiplicative)

* Lose 57% projectile damage; gain 92% trap damage

* A bit less life (129% instead of 163%)... though Heart & Soul cluster in witch area can be taken with more points

Some of the projectile damage and life could be regained if the 5 sec trap immunity from "Clever Construction" isn't needed. Going traps could be a way of obtaining similar damage output without a corrupted Empower or Drillneck. A consideration for those who like to play self-found.

You cannot use Desecrate as a main damage skill. I used it in it this build as a secondary skill for a while (Desecrate Traps) and even using Trap, level 20 gem, CE, Empower etc it's DPS was like 3k. It's base damage is just too low to scale into anything serious.

Technically, the tooltip would be higher with Poison Arrow/Trap. But I much prefer manually shooting, it's cleaner and more efficient damage, imo. Traps always target a mob - so often if a mob is moving in 1 direction and a trap goes off, it moves through only half the diameter of the Poison Cloud. On the other hand, if a mob is coming toward me, I can shoot my feet and it will be damaged as it walks though the whole diameter of the cloud. To me - shooting the Arrow makes for smoother and easier gameplay, and it's not as if DPS is lacking. But I think it's just preference, I wouldn't knock anyone for trapping Poison Arrow, either. But I tried it and it just felt clunkier to me.

How would this build work as a fresh start in the new leagues? It looks pretty solid.
It would work well in a new league. Might wanna play Witch for a few levels to grab your zombies and Skeletons.
