just found out the white socket recipe

There is no White Socket Recipe, you get it from an Item being Corrupted.

Please RNG give me a fishing rod !
I don't have the items to do this recipe and probably never will. With that being said I play a lot and think the value of these gems at that lvl are worth more than 1 white socket.

I do think there is a white socket recipe now and I believe Chris hinted in the recent GameSpot video. He has 4 of the same boots in his inventory and 1 has a white socket...

It seems odd that you'd be able to see that it's going to get a white socket when the vendor always has "sockets hidden". You'd have to complete the trade to see the white sockets, which OP obviously didn't. Unless GGG added a mechanic JUST for that recipe, which seems far fetched. I'm calling shenanigans.

This is the kind of reasoning I trust. Not some "lolz itz obviously false"

I'm not claiming that the OP is telling the truth, however it hasn't been edited by support yet, and you forgot one thing in regard to sockets being hidden:

It doesn't matter. If you can see that there is a weapon being offered to you by the vendor instead of alteration shards, you can assume the weapon has been modified in some way.

Can make it happen, on standard though.

That is, if I still have the game installed, I can't remember if I uninstalled or just moved it from my SSD.

Edit, it seems I no longer have it. I could, I suppose, DL it again.

Just for try for see and for know.

(and even stream it)
Casually casual.

Ahah, but here lies the problem.

OP says he didn't ever complete the recipe.
Yet he describes the white socket and even says that it is always the same one, per individual item (item ID). But if the sockets were hidden, he wouldn't see that.

So either BS, or the sockets are not hidden for this recipe.
Casually casual.
