I think you need two items in each slot of the same name , not all items having the same name...think thats the gist of it.

So then the prefix has to be the same on All of the items and the suffix the same on each pair of items (meaning they are the same slot).
If that is the case, then damn. I'm a huge hoarder and have a ton of stuff saved up and couldn't do this at all, don't even have a single set of jewelry that would work for it.

I doubt it works , also people would horde every rare then and the tool to trade and search for rares with the right names would make a return and i think GGG didnt liked that in closed beta.

That tool is still around in some form, maybe not the browser plugin it used to be but it's definitely floating around somewhere. Also, what's wrong with hoarding rares? I have 60+ stash tabs and have every intention of hoarding rares in the new leagues.
