Bone Offering

For me, this spell is missing the run speed component that Flesh Offering has. If it had that, I would be torn between the two. But as it stands now, I use Flesh Offering 99.9% of the time since I use BMs and my zombies are built more on the tanky side so as to not get nuked on bosses.
I think the gem quality offer a very poor improvement. At 20% quality all you get is extra time that in total is less than 1 extra corpse. I think the bonus should get a major boost!

The quality bonus is an increased modifier which applies after the extra duration from each additional corpse has been added to the base.

Still I agree it's a relatively worthless quality bonus.
This spell need some boost, I generally didn't use it at all most of the time since Flesh Offering can do better if its taken to a comparison.
Basically, Necromancer can just resummon the minions if they died although a bit hectic but it proves Bone Offering is just a supplementary skill which helps little.

Perhaps, boost the Skill Quality that gives extra armour or damage reflection.

I find it highly usefull for my dominating blow build in a cwdt setup (desecrate->bone offering+inc duration

Dominating blow builds DO NOT need extra dmg but extra defense is always welcome
Look at how unpopular this skill gem, only two pages of inputs since 4 months ago.

On one hand the defensive steroid is absolutely ridiculously brokenly powerful.

On the other hand the spell itself is unwieldy to hard cast, and the duration leaves something to be desired.

I would recommend allowing the spell to periodically consume a nearby corpse with no limits to duration. The more corpses you feed it the better. This would make it less unwieldy to cast, without significantly affecting the management requirement.

But that's just off the top of my head. Once snapshotting is axed this gem will no doubt gain popularity.

every 2 seconds, consume nearby corpse (if exists)? cannot be less than every 1.5 seconds due to being upkept infinitely (if corpse exists).
Desecrate makes maintaining Offerings incredibly simple; I've never had issues keeping 'em going.

(I had forgotten how ~awesome~ my wand is)

3 bodies -> 4.5s Base Duration. 61% Increase -> 7.25 second duration. Eight zombies can handle a surprising amount of crap in that timespan, and the Desecrate cooldown is only five seconds.
That said: I mostly use Flesh Offering anyways...
This gem just cannot compare to Flesh Offering. Since they both consume corpses, you should use only one or the other.
It needs to somehow be different. The choice now is too obvious.
