Crafted this so far: 1) 200 jewels to 6s 2) 120 fuse to 6L 3) 2ex worth of alts + 16 regals + 15 scour to get the base, int + flat es + ar/es % Up till this point i was like damn, RNG is with me! then all turns to shit... 4) 21 ETs used (52ex for the ETs, and 20 ex, 72ex in total)..... 2nd tier lightning res WTF.... I think there is one very simple reason why this will never come true, or actually two.
The first is that if your character became better at crafting the more he did it, and so would gain better results. It would create an incredible advantage to those who trade all day and craft a lot, it would place the average player even further behind. The second is that items can always be traded in PoE, they are not bound and i do not think devs want it that way. I guess if there was a not too insane cap on how much it could improve, so that it was balanced around a good 1000k hours invested in the game or such, it may help. But crafting vs trade rewards, is the same as self found - vs trade, the problem is always that you are more likely to find something someone else needs, and so trade is where you will get the majority of your loots. The thing i mentioned was that per item basis your will have increased chances of 6L. That means no one has a greater advantage in game by spending more time, it is strictly focused at the experience of 6 linking any one item. " Yes this one. My view on it is: A crafting skill leveling capped at 20-40% of crafting knowledge progression. And 80% comes from farming rare+unique monsters. " There are 6 cases: Craft and get what you want[successful craft], you feel good. Craft and fail, it's okay i am going to get more orbs. Craft and fail fail fail, you do not feel good because you did not get what you want and you are poor now. Farm and get a nice drop[good rare/good unique/tonOForbs] [fine drop] you feel good. Farm and get only few alts, it's alright you gotta continue. Continue farming with only alts gains that are going to be wasted anyway, you do not feel good. If you had a new type of exp when doing this 2 things, you will feel rewarded all the time(during 6 cases), resulting in making you feel addicted. Obviously I haven't.
