The game rocks but the Instance reset time irritates me

I totally agree... clearing a lvl 3 map like lunaris temple 3 just to die and see the previous map has been reloaded just kills time and doesn't do anything but annoy the player.

pls change the reload time

Totally agree, it's ruining the game for me.
It makes no sence not from an rpg point of view nor from game design point of view, it's just irritating.

If it's done in this way cause of server stress at least save the map on local computer when you leave the area and reset the mobs when you'll come back, this will cost nothing and will allow at least to know where the exit is.

short reset time on everything and timeouts after loading screens make game really not fun. (i just lost 3 attempts to find waypoint at chamber of sins, due to timeouts and then returning and cleanin 2-3 maps again)
I believe that it has been said that a longer reset time would ramp up the cost tremendously.

Want the game to be better? Give them some money yo.
Yo - They will not have to worry about money this much if things are running smooth. The game needs some more advertising though. I think there is really alot of potential.
It's amazing how many threads asking for improvements, especially ones that would obviously require more server space, have replies stating everything from "the game wasn't ment to be easy, suck it up" to "they are a new company and that would cost too much..."

First, the "Suck it up"; People won't "Suck it up" they will simply post negatives on forums and across the net. That will hurt sales and close doors to investors; if your unaware of the net results of that then you simply do not accept reallity.

"Cost too much"; Same result, the problem will still be there, as would the "Suck it up" mentality, netting the same result as above.

People are complaining about "wasting hours of time" clearing large areas only to have everything reset because it took too long to clear before the reset, and reset on death ect. People are saying this is irritating at best. People play games to have fun! NOT to be irritated!!!

Let's take this out in time a little bit;
Servers remain as is, including the "overloaded" server situation.
Game release; Sales far exceed expectations, servers that could barely handle the open beta are now crashing like the Hindenburg, people can't play, get very angry, return games in mass, post more negatives on the net, company folds.

Extreme example yes, may or may not happen. Investors don't care. All they care about is if the investment will make them money.

Reallity; SUFFICIENT and STABLE servers are the most important thing a gaming company needs to provide for it's community! Without them you simply can not play!

Conclusion; If servers are the issue holding them back, then maybe they should have kept the game in Closed Beta a while longer. That way they could resolve the "irritating" issues and find investors that could invest the kind of money needed to upgrade their servers.

Thanks Rut, I do think most conversations on these forums are pretty constructive though. I think the problem is that the business model PoE uses requires that players stay for an extended period of time and also that they play a lot or they won't use the shop so much.

See, I have a busy job a busy family and then things like this annoy me. At the end of the day, this may be a reason why I, and others, decide not to play as much which will reduce revenue.

It is not really a problem that zones expire, they expire just too quickly. Maybe the game can be made so that only zones visited the last hour within one session are kept, that you need to play a minimum amount before this features starts, item data is kept for a short time only, etc.

I am curious how the PoE development team feels about this issue?
This is really taking a new low point at the moment. With those stability issues me and my friends are not having enough online time to get to Piety on cruel. It's impossible even if you find the way fast.
