Looks like you didn't get my point, its not fun not being able to reasonably expect to fuse a 6l. Gates should happen in the form of high level uniques and rare very well rolled rares not in limiting basic build structures like being restricted to a 5l.

5L is enough to have a viable - fun endgame build.
6L is just the cherry on the cake : a bonus.

You apparently have expectations that don't fully suit this game.

I think voltaxic and 6 links are bad examples overall, but the point still stands.

At high level play, if you get a chest or weapon upgrade, often you need to pay a good bit on jewelers/fuse/chroms before you can use it.

Even 5 links can take upwards of 300+ fusings for the unlucky. The worst feeling in this game is having a good item, then using more than it is worth in fusings because rng wasn't on your side today.

For the record, I have 6 linked something in 5 fusings before. I have also burned 250 fusings to see a 5 link. It is incredibly random.
