About New Zealand

I'm sure there lots of people here that are from New Zealand and apparently you guys are quite proud of your country and the fact that PoE (I just noticed what these initials form when put together ;]) is being developed there.
But I have to tell you guys, I know nothing about your contry. I know where it is on the map and that's it. So educate this ignorant brazilian: what is there to know about New Zealand? | |

Well, knowing where it is on a map is more than a lot of people do. I've heard people talking about it who think it is part of Australia, linked to Tasmania by bridge lol...
Where to start, we like our nature in New Zealand, with national parks and reserves all over with forests and hot springs, tramping and bush walks. Being a rather thin country completely surrounded by ocean we have a lot of beaches and when its sunny love to relax on them, swimming and surfing. We have mountains in both the north and south islands with good skiing and snowboarding seasons. We have everything pretty much, and we love when people come to see it. I'm sure I haven't covered everything either, so if anyone has more, put it up. | |

To tell you how awesome NZ is, there is still secret lakes, rivers and other waterways in the south island that only a few people know about.
Oh and another thing we have Natives Called Maori's. |

New Zealand is a small country by population, approx 4mill people, with a few major cities (Auckland with 1.5mill people being the largest geographically, as well as for population density, Wellington, the Capitol, Hamilton, which is the retarded young brother of Auckland that not even the dodgy uncle wants to fiddle with on christmas morning, Christchurch, the largest town in the south island, and dunedin, the garden city). Most places are within 1 1/2 hours of the sea, a significant portion of the country is in protected national parks...

Its really beautiful. Lots of movies are filmed there because of that fact.
