I've traveled around a lot, some really nice places down south, like Queenstown. I grew up in Rotorua, which is in the middle, surrounded by lakes and volcanoes. I have family and relatives in Christchurch who have been suffering the aftershocks of earthquakes for some months now but today's one was very bad, mainly because it happened in the middle of the day, when the maximum number of people were in the area mostly affected. My condolences to those who lost loved ones. It's not for nothing New Zealand is called "the shaky isles"... I used to be apathetic, now I just don't care.
