Vaal Oversoul is the best designed fight in the game

Theres bosses whom you can avoid most of their damage just by playing smart. Thats the Vaal oversoul. It's a player skill check.

Theres other bosses that makes it really hard to avoid taking damage. It's a gear/build check.

You can kill maze map Oversoul as long as you can survive the rocks dropping from the ceiling. If you get hit by either the explosion or the lightning ray then you need to improve your mobility.

I love that fight but it's a bit unchanllenging once you get the hang of it.

The first part of Dominus is OK. The 2nd part is the biggest gear check in the game. Its a forced facetank. The Piety battles are way more "skill"-involved.
just rip'd on the maze map. How do you avoid the rocks coming down? because that 1 shot me with 10K armor and 5.2K hp.

That could go two ways. Either increase the difficulty of the next areas or decrease act bosses. I would be for increasing the difficulty. Adding more skills to mobs for example would be a fine refreshing experience. Or adding more mods to even white mobs.

I also am very disappointed with dominus encounter :/ worst fight imho ever cuz melee=face tank anything else tp zerking

when he drop rocks you get close to him.. they don't fall near him a (why would he drop rocks on himself :P)
This is a joke thread right? I cant count number of times I died to him after I quicksilver or whirling blades get away -> die one screen away to vaal smash thx to desynch.

Also I really dislike roof collapse thing. It can one shot you, and there is no pattern to where it will fall, it is even unrelated to debris falling from ceiling as indicator. If you are lucky it falls to somewhere else, otherwise you get oneshot. Dumbest attack design I saw in any game.

But compared to %99 of the game where mobs do nothing but zerg you with a basic attack or spell, yes that is a better design.
Vaal is the shittiest boss in the game as far as I'm concerned. In fact any mob that has 1 shot mechanic is lazy shit design. You want a boss done right, see Dominus, heck even Piety.

Vaal smash is equivalent of INSTANTLY dying to blood rain in Dominus fight instead of giving u a chance to get into the bubble...it's like all it would take is little desync or .1 seconds too slow to get back to bubble and you are dead.

Fuck Vaal and fuck the lazy dev that designed him.
I'm more concerned about the rocks and not the smash, rocks are annoying and unpredictable piece of shit.

you can face tank his smash with correct gear/skills just fyi (even without IC) - well not map vaal

btw you can see the smash coming... you can hear it coming its not hard to avoid it at all

on contrary to dominus rain if you are ranged you are FORCED to come in melee range- talking about lazy design
